Preparing a Server
Enable Mods:
Subscribe to at-least 60 server mods that add Anime characters and change the way DST looks, since DST has awful art, characters and lore that you don't want to bother with.

Don't let it be default:
Change World settings to customize the world to your liking. Default is for noobs.
Choosing a Character
When choosing a character, these are the most important things to consider:

  • It should look big and mighty.
  • It should never be comfortable, as others see that as weakness.
  • See what professional streamers main, and you main exactly that.
Things to Avoid
Game's Original Music
You don't want the game's music to be playing since it traps you in the context; Lower it to zero from Options and play a modern Pop song from your PC playlist.

Game's Art and Animations
Lower all the useless graphics settings from Options menu to increase the game's performance so that you can kite better.

How to Play
Never Relax:

Relaxing and staying in one place, is an indication of being a noob, which you should avoid. This becomes challenging when cooking at Fire-pit, but you can move in circle around the pit, one step at a time after each cooking, to look more active. (Once in a while, eat some of what you are cooking to let others know you are not just mindlessly clicking, but following a goal.)

Rush Caves:

By this time, the upper world is a vintage for you; So after joining the world, charge into caves and fill your pockets with resources, bring them up and give them to noobs; I recommend placing each stack of resources separately on the ground to make them more visible.

When you are done, announce what you just did and wish good luck for the noobs and leave the server.
Always Help Others
Other's game experience is more important than your's, but that aside, helping them increases your pro status.
  • Always go to portal when someone joins, and give them free resources and ask how else you can serve them.
  • Bring them to your base and give them Meatballs.
  • Spend 8 minutes at Swamp, guiding the new-comers to the base, through chat.
  • Select a character that benefits other players more.
Start a Movement Against Griefers
  • Always watch for griefers and do everything while considering them, because they deserve it.
  • After they burn your base, start announcing their name and what they did multiple times.
  • Ask them why they did it, and get to know them.
  • Go to the forums and talk about them.
  • Bring some tissues and look back at your burnt base's screenshots while listening to sad music.
  • Sit on a chair near a river and towards the water, while your back is to camera. The End.
