i found life
it sang to me
a lovely serenade
jovial, blushing red
with a tuft of green
it sang
i laughed and went for a kiss
but the tomato left
nowhere to be found
i sat alone, dumbfounded
tricked by a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tomato
but life's not that bad
that gentle apparition still watches me
her visage unbetraying
an image still lingering
within me
but come another fruit
a gentle orange
with a smile so bright
an orange to fight for
what adventure could blossom from it
but i shook my head and regained my senses
for it was an orange
and i certainly was not glad
with a sigh i stared out the window
watching the birds chirp, the rabbits hop
and a turtle crawling
sometimes i wonder of my mental health
how miserable this solitude is
but at least i have that gentle apparition
still watching me
the sun shining off her earrings
flooding my internal feelings
maybe this is what it feels like
to be in love, still."
