Introduction
Hi all,

I thought I would make this guide for all those looking to play any You Don't Know Jack game in full screen mode. It's quite simple with only a minor inconvenience. This guide is intended for people running on Windows 7 but it may apply easily to other older operating systems. Let's start by entering your name below.......just kidding!

Thanks to a couple of kind users who have provided instructions for Windows 10 and Steam Deck.
Instructions
Windows 7
1) Install the game via Steam! (e.g. YDKJ 1 XL)
2) Go to Windows Explorer (Windows key + E or manually open My Computer).
3) Navigate to the installed directory (e.g. SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\YDKJ_VOL1XL)
4) Locate the main game .EXE file. This will be different for each game (e.g. YDKJV1.EXE)
5) Right Click -> Properties
6) Navigate to the "Compatibility" tab
7) Tick the box "Run in 640x480 resolution"
8) Click "Apply" or "OK"
9) Start the game via Steam or directly via the .EXE file
10) Enjoy full screen YDKJ!

Windows 10 - credit to Deebs

5) Right Click -> Properties
6) Navigate to the "Compatibility" tab

9) Click "Apply" and then "OK"
10) Enjoy full screen YDKJ

Known issue & Conclusion
Now the only problem with all this is that any open windows may get scaled down to 640x480 resolution and will require resizing after playing. It's a small price to pay for such a great set of games!

If you have enjoyed this guide, please feel free to give it a rating and pass this on to others. If you have any other feedback then please post it below.

Happy quizzing!

I am on Windows 11 and have a compatibility tab. Either they changed it back or some of my frantic efforts to make Windows 11 behave more like Windows 10 I performed last year ended up bringing this back for me.

@jaybohmer, sorry Im only on Win10 at the moment. This link suggests that they have removed the Compatibility tab altogether in Win11.

Not sure if the following will work to get the tab back in Win 11:

So I'm able to get it to go full screen now, thanks to the guild. Maybe a little too "full screen" tho. It's cutting off the edges of the screen. Is there a way I can dial it back any?

For windows 10 users:
right click on windows button in bottom left corner, and select file explorer.
select your (C:) drive to bring up root on the right side and select program files(x86)
open steam folder, open steam apps folder, open common folder.
Open the YDKJ_VOL1XL folder and right click on the YDKJV1.EXE located at the bottom of the list
select properties, click on compatability tab at the top, select run in 640x480 screen resolution and run as administrator.
select apply, and then ok.
