Unfortunately a volcanic eruption left his palace in ruins and to this day nobody has ventured inside, the palace remains surrounded by lava and the only remaining plant life consists of a few weeds... Well that's what the legend says, you know one of his most valuable plants survived and your're not going to let a little bit of lava and a few booby traps get in between you and that plant.
