-threads <number of cores/threads>
So far, I was not able to find a definitive information about the maximum number of threads that CS:GO uses and if this launch option makes any sense. If you have a CPU with 4 or more cores, you can try to set -threads to the number of cores (or number of threads if you own a CPU with 2 threads/core) you have, but right now I can not guarantee that your performance will improve. Test it, if you don’t notice any difference or your performance is actually worse, remove the launch option again.

Additionally, you may see an increase or decrease (depends on your computer) using the launch options below. The -disable_d3d9ex option will cause an FPS decrease for most people. These launch options are also less common and less tested. You should try these one-by-one to see if they offer any benefit, and if you have any problems (e.g. crashes) in future, consider these prime suspects:

Find your CPU Core Count!

Step 1: Hold Windows and Press R (Windows + R)
Step 2: Type dxdiag and run it!
Step 3: On the System Tab. Read "Processor" and look at your core count!

HUGE FPS BOOSTING TIP.

Lowering resolution increases performance(higher FPS)but decreases graphics (less detail,decreased sharpness).
The native resolution for a standard 19 inch monitor (not widescreen) is 1280x1024, but some games use 1280x960.
Multiplying the 2 numbers gives you the number of pixels being displayed on the monitor.
