Alpine: Flags

Description
UPDATED FOR "GRAVEYARD OF EMPIRES" (1.16+)
ALPINE: FLAGS (THE HISTORICALLY ACCURATE FLAGS OVERHAUL)

// COUNTRY NAMES //

To ensure that the names are consistent is possible I recommend to use my other mod Alpine: Country Names https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2869123536 as not will cause potential inconsistencies such as puppets although their flags will be accurate their names will still be inconsistent and inaccurate.

// OVERVIEW //

Alpine Flags is a complete overhaul to all HOI4's Vanilla and DLC flags aiming to be the of the highest standard and most historically accurate as possible.
- All 1500+ flags improved and updated
- 180+ New unique flags variants and flags for cosmetic tags first used in this mod and added to a plethora of other mods
- Significantly less pixelation and blurring making the visual quality the 100% best of any flags for HOI4
- The most background research for any flag mod with as many flags as possible true to their original 1936-1948 timeline as possible with the closest available suitors from from the great war, interwar and cold war for the small exceptions.
- Many of the flags within have been implemented within base HOI4 as well as various mods such as R56
- 36 Flags to fix the cosmetic tag code errors prevalent since the BFTB, this and Alpine Country Names are the ONLY MODS ON THE WORKSHOP TO FIX THIS OVERSIGHT!

What did you add in this new update, friend?

@hanwoo1936 Thank you for the input, I am always welcome to any sort of suggestions or critique as a fair bit of the flags have been helped with it.
As for the country names sadly it has been something bothering me for a few years is non-English versions as I only do the mods alone there isn't anyway I could effectively translate them using a basic site or AI would feel to disingenuous and would likely cause many issues but since the mod is pure localization I am 100% fine with any edit mods or translations,

Hello, first of all, thank you for the detailed response. I hadn't looked into it very thoroughly, so there were a lot of errors. I wasn't used because I'm not very familiar with English, but I guess I should subscribe to the Alpine: Country Names mod and start with the translations...
Anyway, thank you! I always use the mod well!

5. For democratic Laos it uses the kingdom flag as it was a constitutional monarchy with elections from 1951, as for the fascist flag the only info on that variant was a single version from 2014 from wikipedia which has no historical source except a defuncy paradox forum post likely a ficticous version made for an older game.
6. British Malaya is fixed with the country name mod as it is renamed to the Federate Malay states which makes more sense as non british malaya even in base game is the Federation of Malaya
which was preceded by the Malay Union which inturn was preceed by the Federated Malay States, also the Shenton Thomas thing was probably a misunderstanding from early Hoi4 devs to streamline the territory not to mention 3 of the other leaders where involved in the Malay states rather than singapore or the straights settlements.

3. Saudi flag is the post 1938 one as it was used throughout the entirety of the war and is more relevant to the 10 years of game time it would exists as to the 2 the other would in Hoi4's time frame, unless pdx adds a cosmetic for a flag change in a future dlc or update then it will likely stay.
4. I will change Burma flag, did it initially to counter the broken scripted effects but doesn't really matter as it is less jarring than Canada or India for example

@hanwoo1936 A few of these problems can be resolved with the country names mod which whilst not required to function I did makes as one anyway as it fixes the growing disparity and accuracy and anachronism in some cosmetic tags also for the ones you suggested.
1. Reichskommisariat flags differ as with the country names and flags I've made the more accurate to the actual "new order" plans of Germany with the historical and planned general ost territories as kommisariats and the other subjugated nations either protectorates such as britain and kolonies for regions like africa which where to be put under more traditional economic colonial rule.
2. The colours for Fascist Serbia differ as from what I can find the brighter yugoslaviaesque colour scheme was only standarized with the formation of DFR Yugoslavia to match the other nations flags if any real pictures or documentation of it matching those colours can be found then I will change it.

6. British Malaya's Democracy flag is incorrect. The current flag for British Malaya is that of the Federated Malay States. However, considering the mention on the Hearts of Iron 4 Wiki that British Malaya was inspired by the Straits Settlements, the fact that the in-game leader of British Malaya is set as Shenton Thomas(who was the Governor of the Straits Settlements) and that its capital is listed as Singapore, it seems preferable to change the flag to that of the Straits Settlements. I've attached a link to the flag from that period for your reference.

Since comments over 1000 characters won't post, I split it into multiple parts. I always use your mods well. Thank you!

5. I would like to see the flags for Laos's different ideologies corrected. For Democracy, I may think it should be the same as the Communist flag; for Non-Aligned, it should be as in (1); and for Fascism, it should be as in (2). The Non-Aligned flag is almost identical but slightly different... I've attached links to the (1) and (2) flags for your reference.

3. Saudi Arabia's Non-Aligned flag is incorrect. It might be a minor difference, but... I've attached a link to the flag from that era for reference.

4. British Burma's Democracy flag is incorrect. Historically, the 1936 flag of British Burma was identical to the UK's. However, considering in-game convenience, replacing it with the newly created 1939 British Burma flag would be preferable. I've attached a link to the flag from that era for your reference.

Hello, thank you for always providing such great mods. I'd like to propose a more realistic approach to national flags.

1. How about replacing all Reichskommissariat flags with swastikas? Historically, Germany used the swastika on its Reichskommissariat flag, so this seems more realistic! Most Reichskommissariat already have swastikas as their flags, but the Reichskommissariat Großbritannien and the Reichskommissariat Nordamerika, among others, have their own unique flags.

2. I wish the colors of Serbia's Fascist flag were a bit darker. The current flag is too faint. I've attached a link to the flag from that era for reference.
