killer7 Engrish Dub Batch Script

What This Script Does

In the Japanese version of killer7 the remnant psyches (Iwazaru, Travis Bell, Susie Sumner, etc.) have Engrish text-to-speech voices. These voices were later muffled and distorted in the international releases of the game.

This script will swap the names of the Zan and ZanJ folders located in the sound folder of the game and swap the filenames of the individual Tutorial##.aif and usTutorial##.aif files in the se folder.

You can see an example of what the mod does in the video below.

How To Use This Script

First go to the killer7 folder. To access the folder, right-click on killer7 in your Steam library, hover over Manage > and select Browse local files.

Download the script here and place it in the root of the killer7 folder:

Or create a new text file in the root of the killer7 folder, change the file extension from .txt to .bat, edit the file in Notepad, copy the following lines, and then save the file:

Afterwards, run the batch file and the voices will be changed. To restore the original voices just run the script again.

now all that needs to happen is to transliterate litteral translation of the "engrish"

Absolutely glorious, turns my already screwed mind into a mush. The brain pain I get when hearing this horrible Engrish while trying to read what the characters say is just the thing. Thanks for this!
