Ok, now for what I like to call: "Class 1 scares".

These aren't really scary, but some might consider them to be, so I'm going to include these anyway. Here we go.

Light in the distance: You can't really avoid it, but it may comfort you to know that it has no effect on gameplay. It cannot harm you, it's just an easter egg.

The Shoe: Easy to avoid this, just don't visit the big rock near your base.

OK, now for the scares that will affect most people. These are usually things that are slightly harder to avoid, but still quite easy to keep yourself from seeing. Here are the scares:

Alien in monitor: If you really want to avoid this, make sure you NEVER. LOOK. AT. THE. MONITOR. If you don't know about this, the monitor is the area where you can watch MP4 files in-game. However, if no file is playing, it will show a green hued camera on one of the antennas, showing where it is facing. BUT, it has a chance to show you a picture of an alien watching you from the kitchen. The alien can not do any harm, it's just a thing with the intention of scaring you. However, if you don't get up to try and chase down the alien, (Which stops being rendered the second you stand up) you will hear clicking noises from inside your base. So, it's best to play with your volume off.

Alien in garage: Quite easy to avoid, You can simply leave your garage door open. If i am correct, the event only triggers if your garage door is closed. So just don't close it. Easy!

Now we're into the serious scares. I only know of one so far, but if more are added, I'll put them on the list. Ok, here we go.

Bathroom alien: Easy to avoid, but incredibly scary to encounter. Basically, if you go to the bathroom at night, there is a chance of seeing an alien in the window, watching you. So if you want to avoid it, just don't go to the bathroom.

In my opinion, Signal Sim can be a borderline horror game at times, especially if you share the same fears as me. But, all of these scares can be avoided, and so you can play peacefully, without worrying about alien intruders. I hope you enjoyed this guide, it was inspired by me being scared at every single moment while playing the game. But, i have developed counters to all these scares, and I wanted to share them with the Signal Sim playerbase. I hope this guide helps you build confidence playing the game.

Some scares I have heard about but am not sure of whether they are in the game or not.

The first would come from info in a Joel stream, where he said that a feature was added so that if you don't lock your doors, you might see an alien in the window in your main office. I am not sure if this is true, so I would need more confirmation.
