Extended Captions and Dialogue

Descripción
***Caption changes apply to the ENGLISH language captions only!*** A similar add-on exists to improve the Spanish language captions, though - you can get it from here.

My attempt at enhancing the game's subtitles with cleaner formatting and extra closed captions, as well as a rework of the NPC response system to restore unused voice lines and of individual lines to fix missing lip sync and other things.

Caption changes:
-Cleaned up closed captions to remove awkward formatting (overused punctuation, ellipses, etc) and make formatting style consistent with official Half-Life captioning
-Broke up certain captions for longer audio
-Fixed accuracy/grammatical errors
-Changed mentions of "Vortigaunt" to "Alien Slave" (in line with HL1 nomenclature)
-Added captions for the HEV suit
-Added captions for a certain door
-Re-added some closed captioning from HL2
-Extended captioning to all NPCs, including Xen-exclusive ones
-Added captions for various scripted scenes and gameplay objects, including in Xen

NPC dialogue changes:
Scientists:
-Implemented unused lines:
--Pain sounds (an additional 10 to the existing 10) + hit in gut responses
--Player mourning lines
--Player kill congratulations

Guards:
-Implemented unused lines:
--"Statement" idles
--Houndeye and Headcrab related lines
--Unused "startle" lines
--Player mourning lines
--Zombie spotting/killing
-New "attacking" lines for mid-combat taunts
-Deathmatch domination/revenge lines added as soldier kill taunts
-Additional lines from BM: Blue Shift

HECU Soldiers:
-Added Radio chatter idles
-Added kill confirmation dialogue
-Restored "Medic" dialogue
-Implemented unused "Uglies" callouts as Zombie alerts
-Reworked taunt responses
-Restored unused "Charge" and monster alert lines
-Unique, more impactful death sounds

Other NPCs:
-Restored "labored" Vortigaunt speech in Interloper
-Restored broken Sniper death sounds

Hello there, does this addon include any unused unique NPC voicelines? I mean situations when for example, you approach a scientist, press E, and he tells you 2-4 bits of unique voicelines before reverting back to generic responses. If not, could you please suggest any mods that do just that? I'm about to add this addon but would also love some new voicelines from NPC's.

So the extended dialogue works perfectly fine, but for some reason the extended captions don't work at all. Even when I put this addon into the custom folder, it still doesn't work.

For anyone having issues with this mod not working, put it in the custom folder, that’s what worked for me.

So I just booted up Black Mesa again and the Vortigaunt caption changes and -Changed mentions of "Vortigaunt" to "Alien Slave" for some reason just works now all of a sudden despite you not updating the mod. So if I had to guess, something was just buggy with Black Mesa.

Hey, i'm pretty sure it's an old question but i ask it any way and also im sorry for being so ignorant but, what is the difference between this mode and this one (Improved Choreography) both of them are your work, but i just wandered this two basically the same or totally different and can they work together or not? thanks for the answer!
