I just quit the teaser because of this, I love the way the game looks but the combat seems too slow and stiff/frustrating. Looting and talking also seems boringly slow I liked the quick feel of Gothic 3, as well as the way the dialogue was set up.

Sure the old Gothic gameplay might be outdated, but PiranhaBytes showed in Risen, how it still is complex but good to use. Risen 1 in particular.
I disliked this fighting mechanic a lot.
