I read somewhere else that the difficulty of this game scales with your PC's processor / clock speed, so it ends up being way overpowered on modern computers. Not sure if that's completely true or not, but I tried to win on my own many times and never got close.

The program linked here failed to win 3 times for me before a winning variation finally appeared. Also apparently tie games count as losses for the player :( One of the 3 results was a tie.
