Strategies:
1. Variants of breaking glass:

1) Throw close range weapon (f.e. wrench) with the T-button
2) Use a slipstream to slow down time, then run into the window.
The slipstream increases your speed so that you can break the glass without anything else needed.
3) Throwing a body
Variante A): Throw your living target (will survive)
Variante B): Throw a dead body
4) Shooting the window yourself
5) Letting the enemy shoot the window (more or less reliably):
The game has a "slo-mo"-function that is actually thought for console gamers (I think), you can find that function in the "options" menu and assign a key to that.
  • Aggro an enemy (doesn't work with trackers or predators),
  • use the slo-mo and then
  • move to the side so that
  • they hit the window.
6) Shoot an (armored) enemy with a shotgun.
The knockback will make them fly through the window without you needing to make a second shot.

2. Capturing/Assassination missions (Variants):

1) Classical knockout/assassination
2) Subvert-Teleport
[only missions with trait "target flees:]
  • SUBVERT a teleporter.
  • Cause an alarm.
  • Get back to your pod (you can also use the teleporter as well)
  • Wait for the dude to use the teleporter.
  • Pick him up from space/fly back to base & let target suffocate
3) Visitor-Swap
(also works on armored enemies, because you don't need an armour-piercing weapon:
  • Stand next to a window,
  • use a visitor to a position right next to you FIRST, then
  • use a swapper on the target,
  • get warped back,
  • Throw body of target throw the window/shoot window
  • Done.
4) Trap-Swap
  • Put down a glitch trap aiming at space,
  • keep position over glitch trap,
  • swap with target.
5) Jet-Swap-K.O.-Catch
[BLOODLESS][with frail trait]: There is a small green arrow indicating where the target is inside the ship, even when you can't see it.
You need:
- a swapper
- a wrench
- an enemy ship without a glitchproof hull
  • Jettison yourself out of your pod next to the ship segment where your enemy is supposed to be
  • swap with him
  • Use the slo-mo mode
  • Throw the wrench against the wall so that it flies back to you to knock yourself out (non-lethal)
  • let the enemy carry you out of the ship
  • meanwhile, use remote control of your pod to pick up your target.
6) Hijack
... an enemy ship without Autopilot and fire at the enemies ship (right click)
+ Use the F-button to speed up the game when flying the slow ship
By far the easiest way to beat Glory missions up to level 5

3. Steal missions:
[Classified]
-> Ask me ;)

4. Ways of leaving an enemy ship
  • Jump through a window
  • Use a teleport
  • Use a swapper/sidewinder on an enemy jammer field
  • Detonate an explosive in an explosive room and jump through the force field
  • Breach grenade launcher
  • Use visitor in a ship with a glitch-proof hull (just select a random place in space; Using a Sovereign Coldfire is recommended as you will not move in space and will need a stealth ship to pick you up regardless, avoiding heat and sight detection)

5. Glory 5 strategies:
I will tell you the easiest and the hardest strategy. The hardest one will yield some of the best results though and can get you a place in the top 10.

EASY:
  1. Hijack an enemy ship
  2. park it next to a base of yours
  3. leave the ship there
  4. Go inside your base
  5. Accept an "Assassination"-Glory mission of your desired level
  6. Go back into hijacked ship
  7. Hunt down the desired ship (Press "F" to speed up your travel time; The bigger ships tend to be slower)
  8. Don't use the dumbfire mode (right click in direction of enemy ship), but the target mode. Zoom down on enemy ship, search for the green arrow and right click on that room. Your hijacked ship will now target fire that specific room.
  9. The target dies when the room blows up

HARD:

The goal is to be able to finish a TIMED HIJACK mission with INVENTORY LOCK, PREDATORS, TRACKERS, DEFENDERS as well as HEAT SENSORS and a TOUGHENED and GLITCHPROOF hull and especially: A SILENCE clause (no alarms).

1. Galaxy Requirements:
- Unlock Glitcher's Tick pod (for saving time. The top missions are timed)
(You won't need a stealth ship. As soon as you have hijacked the ship, you will fly back with it anyway)

2. Character Requirements:
  • Weak (+15% Glory)
  • Frail (+30% Glory)
  • Dying (~30%? Glory) [only possible if you have saved up a self-charging slipstream before that]
  • Blacklisted (7-15% Glory) [possible, but takes longer]
  • Shaky
  • Technophobe
  • Ex-Offworld (-25% Glory) [Necessary?]
[charges your concussive gun for you which is needed for the huge endgame ships]
-> Not necessary if you can pick up the enemies ammo on the way/ have enough armor-piercing ammo

3. Item Requirements (with inventory lock):
  • Silenced automatic armour-piercing concussive shotgun
  • Self-charging long range/extreme range high capacity subverter/remote grenade launcher
    OR
  • Self-charging crash-beam or grenade-launcher (might be even better, because it suppresses the ability to sound alarms -> SILENCE clauses; It also has a positive effect on predators: The predators won't teleport into space and die, as they would do if you would use a subverter, they will just lose their teleport ability -> BLOODLESS clauses)

4. Strategy:
  • Get to the pilot and knoch him out to cancel the time limit
  • Subvert anyone with shields before moving into a room.
  • Subvert predators before they detect you
  • Subvert Trackers
  • Occasionally collect guards weapons and throw them back to save ammunition and to save on cooldowns of your weapon
  • DON'T blow up rooms (fails the Hijack)
  • Work your way through the whole ship

6. Random Advanced Tipps:
  1. Assign the Slow-Motion function to a key. You can find it in the options menu. It works like a slipstream so that you can dodge bullets much easier, but in comparison to a slipstream, it doesn't slow down time for your enemies. It slows down time for everyone.
  2. If you just need to get past an armoured enemy, but don't have the proper equipment to kill them or knock them out, use a regular shotgun & slo-mo. The knockback will delay the response&spot-time significantly so that you have a chance of moving past them without them shooting you.
  3. Always swap the item that you are required to steal IN the room where you are supposed to steal it when using a visitor. If you swap when you are standing next to window after returning with the visitor and then blast yourself out of the window, the item will follow. If that happens, you won't be able to retrieve the item. If you swapped in the room before that, the item will reappear in your stash.
  4. [BLOODLESS CLAUSES] If you have a slipstream, you can just move through enemy groups, steal their keycards and then move on without taking fire.
  5. If you jettison yourself out of your pod or get blasted into space, you can use the knockback of shotguns to change your direction.
  6. [BLOODLESS/GHOST/SILENCE CLAUSES] You can stack the slipstream effect. Meaning you can slow down time even more when using two at the same time, enabling you to move past big enemy groups without the need for a stealth shield or weapon.
  7. [SILENCE CLAUSES:] Using a crashbeam on an enemy makes him unable to sound an alarm. You can exploit this for silence clause missions with self-charging crash-beam or a crash-grenade launcher. Subverters DON'T have this effect!

  8. You can crash/subvert the blast shields that appear after destroying a window.

no joke the easiest way I've found for all levels of assassination Glory missions is ex-glitcher with Extreme-Range High Capacity Swapper (which works on Preds safely) and a Armour-Piercing Sword (in case the target has glitch dash). if you don't have an inventory lock a crash-beam and slipstream are nice as well and using a visitor right out the gate lets you leave almost immediately once it calls you back after using the swapper

there are normally so many enemies that you can move across the whole ship to the target in a flash if you pause quick enough. especially because the swapper has no cool-down

Oh and glory V missions. EVERY GLORY V HAS HARDENED HULL

Ship hijacking makes any non-pacifist/no alarm mission piss easy. Assassinations are easiest, but others are possible too, you just need to know the secret art of aiming your shots right, so you dont accidentally yeet the room your prize is in

Best way to teleport - Get two self charging visitors and use a visitor and move as far as you can through the ship, then use another visitor just before it returns you, so that you start a new return timer from your new spot, and let that timer run out to move to where you were again. Rinse and repeat through a whole ship to accomplish whatever you need to and then bail out of the nearest window.

@Adzi i think "t" is the default keybind

how can you jettison yourself out of your pod though?

One of the old versions I managed to enter a couple ships through the window by bailing out of my ship and blasting my shotgun to angle so I smashed into the window then got instantly fired back out, but then re-entered when the shield was up. Only saved me having to deal with teir 1 and 2 cards and haven't been able to get it to work in more recent versions. At some point, going to try mixing in using slow mo and that slip stream tip you mentioned.
It's not a super useful maneuver but, it's over the top enough that part of me wants it to still work.

Tried out the ship thing out, worked like a charm! its much easier to blast your assassination target away with missiles than to board a ship!

@ShMo As far as I am concerned, this doesn't work anymore. I have tried it myself. BUT maybe I did it the wrong way?

I tried dropping it in the pod after the mission starts, but then after you dock, the additional item disappears with the inventory lock.

There's a really smooth way around the inventory lock.
You can leave items in the pod or in hijacked ships and, whenever you need to, teleport those items into your hands.
