RimConnect is currently in maintenance mode. If anything is broken then please let us now in the comments or in our Discord, but new features will not added for the foreseeable future. We appreciate that many of you love RimConnect and you have excellent ideas for ways to improve it, but noom_tv and InfinitySamurai don't have the time and energy to contribute new features.

=== ABOUT ===

With RimConnect, you give your viewers the ability to directly interact with your game. You or your moderators can set up polls for interesting events to occur in your game like "Raining Men" or "Remove all medicine" for your viewers to vote on. There is a Loyalty Store where viewers can accumulate Silvers to spend to purchase every item in the game, modded or vanilla.

Empower your community to trigger over 40 different events, including weather, raids, incidents, and custom built!

Get some much needed help to survive with your viewers sending in supply drops of the items you need most! Or maybe just a bunch of poor quality pants....

Enhance your Rimworld experience by allowing your community to tell the narrative, will they help or hinder? Are they better or worse than Randy Random?

RimConnect now supports the RimWorld Multiplayer mod! It is still considered beta so please let us know if it desyncs or causes any issues

The RimConnect mod is now open source! If you find a typo or have an awesome idea then let us know over on Github, or even raise a PR to fix it for us! https://github.com/Better-Scenes/RimConnect-mod

=== SETUP ===

1. Subscribe/install this mod
2. Install the Twitch extension, and visit the configuration page (Make sure to enable the extension in your video extension slot!).
3. https://dashboard.twitch.tv/extensions/dpmu4zz6rii0emgay9ajrrhdjcw6ml
4. From the configuration page, copy the provided secret, make sure not to share this.
5. Open the Rimworld mod settings for Rimconnect, paste in the secret and click connect.
6. Start up the game and have your Moderators create polls for your viewers to vote on.

That is fair! It's SUCH a fun add on and a lot of us streamers have a blast with it. The small but thriving rimworld community on twitch would probably help fund the server if y'all ever decided it was necessary. Love this mod so much. <3

Hi Sugarstar, we really appreciate you raising this and offering some monetary assistance. I'm having a look at some logs and it looks there is something going on with the server logic that is causing it to crash. I'll try and pin down the reason and release a fix.

Regarding patreon or kofi, we've been keeping RimConnect in maintenance mode for a while now so we're not actively developing it and we don't feel comfortable taking money from people, even donations, if we're not active in the space any more. Your desire to contribute means heaps to us though, so thank you!

Rimconnect goes down every like 45 min or so for a few min? At least in my experience. Have you thought about setting up a patreon or kofi or something to help fund a better server for it? I'd definitely contribute.

Hi RatAttack,

No I generally have to explicitly create events to make them work outside of the context of the story teller. If people want them added they'll have to put a pull request up on the open source project for RimConnect.

Does this add the DLC events if I use this mod with the DLC? (likewise with mods as well)

richard.kastle sorry, we can only give support in English, and to help with connection problems we'll need some more information such as screenshots etc. Are you able to join the Discord?
