NOTE: This mod has since several years back been deprecated. If someone wishes to update it, go ahead.

What does this mod do?
This mod was born partly out of a wish to control what armours my hearthlings would wear when they originally came from a particular kingdom, but also partly because of a request to add a toggle on what armour variants to wear in my mod ACE Armours. With this mod, you have the possibility to control what armour variants your hearthlings should prefer, even if they have exactly identical stats. It works by adding a button toggle with which you can cycle through the three kingdoms' armour variants. Your hearthlings will then equip themselves based on this button toggle, assuming all the options are equal in strength.

Requires ACE to function. Will likely crash hard without it due to lua code referencing ACE code.

If you enable this mod mid-save, do take note that hearthlings will not get their button toggle unless you re-promote them to a combat class that should have the button.

Mods with additional toggles:
ACE Armours
Nordlingmod
Clan Muramasa

For other modders
Are you a modder and wish to add compatibility by adding variant toggles to this mod? There's a tutorial/documentation with all you need to know in both .txt and .rtf inside the mod's .zip file. Also, if you wish for your mod to appear above, please do let me know either here or on the ACE Discord and I'll add it to the list.

Enjoy!

Thanks to:
Many, and I sincerely mean many, thanks to Paul & Dani on the ACE team for helping me with the lua coding for this one, not to mention most of the code is adapted from ACE itself. Also, huge thanks to Pawel for helping me move all the code to a new component. I don't know how many times I pulled my hairs out trying to get this to work.

Still hoping for both mods to be updated of further integrated into ACE, and keeping them in a small waiting place in my mod collection ^^

is the mod 1.1 good or not?

@Pandabear

In theory it should, so, I'd say yes.

Will this work without the ACE Armours mod that you made? I like the new armors and stuff, but I've never been big into multiple types of armor, but I do like the idea of being able to select what armors my hearthlings wear. :)

@Jonny Boneyard

Not really, no. Although that is up to the mod author. :)

Would it be difficult to add the Roman Armory mod to this awesome thing?

@everyone

The mod is finally back in action! Code-wise, everything's been moved to a brand new component, meaning that the mod actually works, savegame incompatibilities have been fixed, and basically should produce no errors whatsoever.

If they still do, let me know and I'll try and pull out some more hairs as I try to fix the issues.

Enjoy!

@Daxter

I just tested reloading saves with it on, and frankly, I don't get the same issue. I would imagine that the mod has been unloaded at some point, and you'd need to find a save at which point you actually had the mod on.
