1. Make ally with Romans and overrun Thrace
1. When you start campaign, your advisor will advise you about your first priorities is capture Thrace and Greece.

2. Then you use General Parmenio Tactical Card to sign alliance with Romans.

3. Pick army in Macedon to attack Thrace so you'll overrun and occupy Thrace.

You'll have new army that place in Macedon.

2. Overrun Megale Hellas and buy Sicily
1. Pick army in Macedon to attack Megale Hellas, so you'll overrun and occupy Megale Hellas.

2. After that you must negotiate with Romans to buy Sicily from them.

3. Pick army in Thrace to place at Macedon and finish this turn.

3. Overrun Greece
1. Pick army in Megale Hellas to attack Greece, so you'll overrun and occupy Greece.

1. After you capture Greece, you'll receive General Ptolemy Tactical Card.

6. Make ally with Indians
1. You use General Ptolemy Tactical Card and 175 Tribute to sign alliance with Indians.

After that you'll receive new army, so place your new army in Phrygia.

1. You use 400 Tribute to sign alliance with Persians.

3. Epilogue

Although you don't have many territories and don't stay on top of World Status, you can finish Alexander the Great Campaign with victory.

I try it for fun and I think these experiment is interesting in some way.

It's not excite as you mention but I still glad that I can prove my hypothesis ( win without do any battle ) is functional.

I've slinked through the Cold War campaign a few times with no direct combat missions (espionage only), but for some reason it had never occurred to me that you could apply basically the same strategy to the Alexander (and other!) campaigns. Nicely done haha! A shame though that without any equivalent for the Cold War espionage missions, you end up with a relatively boring playthrough.
