Hudson Line Extension & River Subdivison: New York - Albany

Description
The Hudson Line extension route extends from DTG's Hudson Line at Croton-Harmon northward along the east bank of the Hudson River to Poughkeepsie and Albany-Rensselaer servicing both Metro-North and Amtrak trains. Also featured is CSX's River Subdivision from North Bergen, NJ to Selkirk, NY that lies along the west bank of the Hudson River paralleling the Hudson Line across. The River Sub serves as an important mainline for CSX freight service to/from New Jersey and destinations northwards and beyond.

The Hudson Line Extension & River Subdivision features over 200 miles of scenic areas along the banks of the Hudson River Valley, as well as providing high-speed mainline passenger and freight service between major destinations in New Jersey, New York City & Albany.

The Hudson Line extension & River Sub route features:
-107 miles of extended track from Croton-Harmon to Albany-Rensselaer with intermediate stations such as Beacon, Poughkeepsie, Rhinecliff, and Hudson thus completing the entire 142-mile portion of the Empire Corridor between New York City and Albany.
-Additional 18 miles to Schenectady totaling the Hudson Line to 160 miles
-131 miles of the entire CSX River Subdivision from North Bergen Yard in NJ to Selkirk Yard in Upstate NY
-10 miles of CSX's Selkirk Sub from Stuyvesent to Selkirk
-8.40 miles of CSX's Port Subdivision from Selkirk Yard to Kenwood Yard
-9 miles of the New Haven Maybrook Line that crosses the Hudson River at Poughkeepsie
-2.6 miles of the CSX branch to ADM Milling in Hudson, NY
-11.6 miles of the Amtrak Post Road Sub from Albany to Schodack near the B&A
-6.8 miles of the CSX Schodack Sub from Schodack to Stuyvesant
-9 miles of the CSX Castleton Sub & Berkshire Sub from Selkrik to Valatie
-5 miles of NYSW Trackage from Hackensack to Little Ferry Yard
-10 miles of Amtrak's Northeast Corridor from New York Penn to Newark
-7 miles of CSAO Passaic and Harsimus Line & CSX Northern Branch from Kearny to North Bergen

Requirements needed for the route:
-Hudson Line: New York - Croton Harmon
-North Jersey Coast Line
-Miami-West Palm Beach
-Norfolk Southern Coal District
-Donner Pass

*It is recommended that all assets are needed because I use a mixture of them for track, roads and scenery. The most important assets for the route to function are Hudson & NJCL for trackage*

There are at least three scenarios found on the Train Sim Community Page!

Also you can actually take any work shop route in the Hudson Content folder and drop it into this route! This would allow you extend these into Albany or Poughkeepsie allowing you to simulate a full operating run of both AMTRAK and Metro North Crews! Runs to Schenectady are actually good for rescue runs, the proposed Commuter Rail link, and summer festival shuttles!

Hudson

Poughkeepsie

I am working on a rework for two AMTRAK scenarios for the route! The first will be an update to the Summer of 2018! The second will be a reworked fictional Lake Shore Limited Scenario also operating into Grand Central (which never actually happened)! I am having issues with train 448 taking the consist down the Post Road Branch instead of leaving it for the P32 to take it over! Hopefully you guys would like the rework! Heads up though as you'll need quite a few add ons to make the scenario work!

Are there any scenarios for this route?

Now that this has been out for a while, would you consider extending/modernizing the current DTG Boston and Albany route? (Boston to Albany Rensselaer/Selkirk including the full Post Road branch) Seems there are not many folks with your talents. Thanks again!

reply&question to CYCLONE..I believe I found said subscription folder; "steamapps/common/RailWorks/content/Routes/6ad24555-385f-479d-b7e8-14debf77619d.
OK?
You say extract somewhere!
Where do you suggest within the PC file/folder hierarchy? Where can/should I put it?
Where does it work for you?
I'm AOK with the unsubscribe part.

Of course, you can also do what I do: subscribe, find the subscription folder, extract the scenario somewhere, unsubscribe, subscription goes poof, scenario stays where you put it. Also shows as an Official scenario.

mimar - as you found out, never use the Workshop menu. Steam likes to add tags to try to promo shit you don't need because they want their cut for publishing stuff you don't actually want. They did it with a York-Peterborough scenario pack, they did it with the Metropolitan Line, then something else, and then the Wessex Line. Often it was before the item was released (Wessex and Metropolitan a month and a half in advance - each!), meaning no one had it except through the JT site; one of my own items got tagged with the scenario pack in error, too. Either a problem with DTG tagging it as a default item by accident during QA testing or a problem with the Workshop done manually by Steam to try to create sales. Both blame the other. Mysterious.

You can manually edit out bad tags from scenarios, and I think also from routes, by editing the correct files directly. ScenarioProperties and I think RouteProperties. Heck, remove all tags! :steamhappy:

@ajptech Are you still having this issue? I have the exact same crash in the exact same spot every time---it used to work fine, but I suspect that the most recent update broke something.

Hello, out of the list of required mods, I have the Hudson Line and the North Jersey Coast Line, it's been looking pretty good, I recognized areas I've walked around on a recent trip I've done to Albany IRL, but there was one issue of floating signal lights all over the route, is there a way that asset can be swapped out for something that isn't floating in the air?
