Simple Turrets

Adds 9 unique turrets (and 2 manned emplacements) all meticulously designed for vanilla Rimworld, each with a specific role in mind. Three additional research projects are provided for the turrets. All nine turrets are reinstallable, while the emplacements are not.

Stunning Turret
Does no damage, instead temporarily stuns targets.


Tasing Turret
Causes immense pain and distraction. Usually it's non-lethal.



Sniper Turret
Very accurate shots, at a slow rate. Penetrates armor very well.


Standard Turret
A direct upgrade to the mini-turret. Little tougher, little more damage.


Shredder Turret
Low armor penetrating & damage shells. High rate of fire, low range.



Heavy Turret
Very durable turret that does minor to moderate area of effect damage.


Concussive Turret
Powerful area of effect damage. Causes fires. Low rate of fire. Dangerous.


These turrets require no ammo or barrel maintenance, instead consuming a lot of power.


Energy Turret
Blasts targets with heat, catching them on fire. Causes a lot of panic and confusion.


EMP Turret
Fires long-range large-area blasts of EMP, which disable mechanoids and electronic devices.



Rifle Emplacement
This manned weapon system has a modified bolt-action rifle mounted on a swivel. Great for early defense.


Machine-gun Emplacement
Just as the Rifle Emplacement, but this one fires a lot faster. Shorter range, though.




Try these mods:
Rimfeller
Higher Power

If you have [XND] Turret Extensions, then you can upgrade your turrets! The upgrades greatly change the roles and capabilities of each turret, so choose wisely. In general, the upgrades are a bit more useful.

Add the Ground Turret Mod before Simple Turrets and you can burrow turrets, to force them to use lower power, and force enemies to ignore it!
