Idk why it just wont launch for me. it tries to start only for a second, then nothing happens. I've tried updating the nvidia drivers, and running it in compatibility mode (windows xp sp2). idek what to do. Bought it on GOG a couple of days ago, and GOG version doesnt work either. i have a pretty beefy laptop with great specs, so idk

I had the game not launch issue and wrote about it in my review. This may be some peoples issue but don't waste your time doing the PhysXloader.dll fix. first I would try simply running the game in compatibility mode for windows xp.

Navigate to the in game files through steam > right click the game.exe file > click on properties > click the compatibility tab > I chose windows xp (service pack 2) > click apply

Now run your game like normal in steam click play and hopefully enjoy your game!

I'd recommend buying the game on GOG instead of here on Steam if you're having issues. GOG does a better job of making sure the game works.

Loaded the game awhile ago, seems to be the same problem everyone else is having.

Hi. I tried everything (copy pasting Physxloader, installing/reinstalling physx, installing/repairing,reinstalling legacy, and reinstalling the game, also trying to delete previous language of steam) but I still can't run the game. Any help with this?

I found that you just have to do a clean install. If you update only, it might not fix it. You must choose the option for a clean install, which is fortunately an option for the NVidia drivers install. This will require a reboot of your system, so be sure to have everything saved. Once it is complete, the game loads without issue and without any messy settings.
