Fresh from the ZeroG shipyards comes the new and improved Ferro-X!

A few years ago the Ferro was built as an all purpose passenger / cargo vessel. Capitalizing on being a configurable SV to give people a wider array of options built on a single platform, little did we know the impact this ship made.

These impacts helped us grow out styling along with our brand. Ferro was a great starting platform that spawned the Hudson, Ripley and Crowe SV's. The building knowledge we gain helped us tremendously! But Ferro was even bigger than what came after it. Ferro is ZeroG's most coveted SV and I know your going to ask us why so keep on reading.

Ferro is the soul reason ZeroG is still here to this day! Without its configurable hull, we would have suffered catastrophic losses. When the Asten invasion hit, it hit hard and very fast. With the numerous Ferro units available, we were able to evacuate ZeroG and find safe haven at Akua. Those were hard days and we still suffered great losses, but the Ferro unit was a key player to keep us from not being here today. So next time you see a Ferro unit, you can be sure that it will get the job done.

Now with some history out of the way, this bring us to today! The Ferro-X has taken its roots and been completely redone to modernize it for workloads of today. With new technologies out there what better way than to once again use the Ferro-X to showcase them!

Equipped with warp drive, shields and even the amazing space toliet! We have also kept the passenger cabin with the ability to hold 8 passengers, along with 2 crewman and a pilot.

The main draw to Ferro was the ability to switch it up for cargo or passengers. While we have kept the dream alive with the passenger part, the seating can be removed to allow some storage space if you find yourself in need of more storage rather than seating. We also have some windows installed to allow for the surreal scenery of space to be taken in. Those are controlled by the shutter switches in the passenger cabin.

The rear hatch was enlarged to allow access to the engineer sections while still being able to exit via the rear hatch ramps. The refineries are also located here for out of the way access and have an override switch if you need to keep them online while you fly about. Speaking of the engineering section, all components are located in this section. They include the core, shields, warp tank and fuel access. There is also monitoring stations as well to check up on vital system. I suggest you not flip the red switch tho...

With the Helios station communication arrays now online, we are starting to equip our ships with longer range comm arrays. We also installed proper signal lamps and have installed perimeter spotlights for ease of nighttime operations.

Weapons have been addressed on Ferro-X as well. Primary 4x pulse lasers, secondary 2x gattling guns and 2x rocket pods on the upper wing sections. All weapons are recessed behind shutters and will open when weapon systems are brought online.

And lastly, the Cockpit give you access to all the operations of the Ferro-X. Displays will show what systems are left online to show power flows. Plus after a long flight do know that fridges are located in the gallery to the rear of the passenger compartment. Happy flying!
