Tracking for this achievement is instant. Progress tracking only updates after closing the game, and refreshing the achievement tracker. Only Fail/Win iterate the tracker, despite people in discussions saying otherwise. The Fail/Win state is tracked immediately, so the best thing to do is to create as many fail states as quickly as possible.

Other guides suggest loading up the control chip hunt, and flying the initial rocket off the map, which would take about an hour and a half. This method on the other hand will only take a couple minutes.

The core idea for this method is to load up an instant fail scenario, and hotkey restart("Ctrl r") the mission enough times to trigger the achievement. Creating an instant fail scenario is easily done by removing the player brain from the tutorial bunker.

1. Launch the game
   
2. Click "Game Editors"
   
3. Click "Scene Editor"
   
4. Select "Tutorial Bunker" 1/3 of the way down the list
   
5. Click "Load"
   
6. Right-Click
   
7. Hold Right-Click, and select "Remove Objects"
   
8. Remove the Team 1(Pink) Brain
   
9. Right-Click
   
10. Hold Right-Click, and select "Save Scene"
    
11. Click "Save"
    
12. Click "Yes"
    
13. Press "Esc"
    
14. Click "Scenario Battle"
    
15. Select "Tutorial Mission" 1/2 of the way down the list
    
16. Click "> Start Here <"
    
17. Select a Control/Player option for Team 1(Pink)
    
18. Click "Start Game"
    
19. Press, and Hold "Ctrl"
    
20. Press "r" 999 times
    
21. Release, "Ctrl" when you see the Achievment popup
    
22. Close the game
