Achievement-Guide

On the journey to get all achievements. You need at least two playthroughs for a perfect game after the devs fix one currently unreachable achievement ("gotta light").
The Game is still very buggy (version v1.11). Achievements get unlocked when exiting the game (if you are lucky) - sometimes it won't happen or it happens on the next exit (saw that twice).

Note1: be sure to "look" at subjects. sometimes this triggers the dictaphone-option.
Note2: it helps to get these dictaphones early on because the gui can hide the option. this happens at least once, when you already have the three items to get klaus down that tree.
Note3: some items change during the game and hans records a second message in another chapter

    - it does not work for several people (yet another bug?) at least up to version 1.11

Note1: one achievement (how you spend your coin) needs a second gaming session

FYI - if you didn't get "The Foxes are Not What They Seem" at the 20th dictaphone recording, you ran into the same bug that myself and a few others in the discussions had. The mouse hole recording is bugged and only counts towards the final dictaphone achievement. For some reason, recording it can screw up "The Foxes" achievement. Not everybody has this problem, though.

I ended up finishing the game without it unlocking and restarted the game again in slot 2 - skipping the mouse hole. Once I got to 20, it unlocked as normal.

I got the achievements for recording the 25 and 30 Dictaphone entries, but not the one for 20! What's up with that?
I haven't finished the game yet, but still...

Open, Sesame! does not work even i get in on my first try or do it again with backup save.

Here's a save file with 34/35 dictaphones, just inspect the weather station to get "You Remind me Today of a Small Mexican Chihuahua"

Yep, I also figured to just alt+f4 after tossing the coin.

You can get both coin achievements in one playthough. After tossing the coin in the water, you can exit the game and reload, You'll still have the coin to use with the looking glass.

For anyone having trouble with "Mr. Universe" (and maybe other story listening achievements), I exhausted all of Lazarus' dialogue options multiple times at both places you can talk to him with no achievement. Turns out, he usually ends the conversation instead of you. It seems like a bug, but the achievement won't pop unless you end the conversation by saying "Goodbye." Listen to all his dialogue options, he'll probably kick you out of the conversation at some point, talk to him again and just say "Goodbye," and you'll get the achievement.
