"ABOUT THIS DESIGN: I know the cat Elli was based on is female however I only discovered this fact after I had played a significant amount of the game while reading an article my unbiased first impression of Elli was that I honestly couldn’t decide if I got a male vibe or no gender vibe at all I was about to go with the male vibe when I found out the real Elli was female so I changed my mind and went with the part of me that felt this cat was gender fluid now I could’ve gone with genderless because the vibe I got was that I was getting strong indications of male at times and none at all at other times so it could’ve gone either way but as I’ve said many times already I got strong male vibes from this character and adding that to the fact that the inspiration for this character was female I realized the best way to express both was to make my design both male and female hence gender fluid this design is supposed to boast both subtle masculine and feminine features so I hope I made those features strong enough to give that vibe to others
