General Info
Cooking is a useful feature that can allow for HP and TP healing, ailment heals and status buffs typically at a slightly cheaper ingredient price than store bought gels. Most recipes aren't given to the player and require you to either interact with the Wonder Chef at various locations, have specific party members cook certain recipes REPEATEDLY, or complete side quests.

In order to unlock a title for each character except Repede, a character of your choice will most likely be required to master every recipe to finish the cooking sidequest and win the competition with 100% certainty. The recipes are listed in roughly chronological order.

Certain characters may like or dislike recipes. Depending on whether they like or dislike a meal, the effect of the meal may be enhanced or diminished.

Obtained by talking to Wonder Chef in Ghasfarost. This one is hard to miss. After dropping the stairs up to the 2nd area of Ghasfarost and entering it, you need to use the Sorceror's Ring on two gears and return to the bottom of the 2nd area. You can now interact with a pinwheel - the Wonder Chef.

When you first get to Heliord, enter the Chevalier's HQ and you will be asked to deliver a message to someone in Capua Nor. Later when you unlock the ship, go back to Capua Nor (during the day?) and speak to a woman just outside of the Inn to unlock the recipe.

Seafood Stew -- SIDEQUEST
Right before heading off to Zaude (might be able to do this earlier), you can talk to a man in Capua Torim near the western exit in front of a carriage to start the 'Fish Juice" sidequest. Talk to him again when you have 1 of the following: cabbage, tofu, kelp, scallops, salmon, squid and shrimp. These are all common cooking items. After you've talked to him again, you need a Sharp Blade and a Flare Stone to make a fillet knife. Then head to Dahngrest and go to the Western Bar. Talk to the barkeeper to get a Kitchen Knife and head back to Capua Torim. Talk to the man one more time and you will unlock the recipe.

Vichyssoise -- NAM COBANDA WC
Talk to the Wonder Chef in Nam Cobanda Isle. To find Nam Cobanda Isle, fly to the top left of the world map, land on the small island there and enter the town located at its center. From there, Wonder Chef can be found behind the ticket exchange Antlionz.

The final recipe can be unlocked by having all other recipes and talking to Wonder Chef on the docks of Nordopolica. You don't need to master them, but you will need to master them with a character of your choice as one of the requirements to obtain each characters respective cooking titles.

Well I might have to activate the DLC for this, because I have a save file with 90+ hours all recipes except mabo curry and no chef in nordopolica to hand me over mabo curry + invite, to say I am unhappy is putting it mildly. Never had this bug on the consoles.

Great guide, thanks! Do you happen to know if the cooking competition is missable? Or bugged? Because when I first unlocked it, I was able to start the quest but I lost (so I reloaded). I didn't touch the quest again until just before the final boss and now it won't start.

Ya of course was joking why i said it completely breaks the game as you can't just use the recipes. (Also once you redeem DLC like 360 your save is tied to it and can't play without)
