Video Guide
Above video displays quick successful completion of Cure Found (Elite) using the RML strategy and achieving bonus objectives.
Main Objectives
  • Defend the I.K.S. Kang from waves of assimilated Klingon ships spawned by the shipyards.
  • Do not let the I.K.S. Kang to drop below 75% (optional)
  • Destroy shipyard probes and associated cubes
  • Destroy Assimilated Carrier
General Tips
  • Shipyard Strategy
Are different strategies for defeating shipyards. You will have to watch what team is doing and adapt accordingly.

    Strategy Probes
    • Take down all probes from RML stations
    • Take down cubes simultaniously or withing quick succession

    Strategy RML
    • Work as a team take down the shipyards in order of Right, Middle, left. Probes first then cube before moving on to next target.

    Strategy RMMRL
    • Take down probes right
    • Take down probes middle
    • Take down cube middle
    • Take down cube right
    • Then left probes and cubes

    Strategy MRRML
    • Take down probes middle
    • Take down probes right
    • Take down cube right
    • Take down cube middle
    • Then left probes and cubes

  • Nanite probes must be destroyed bottom upward before cube will be vunerable.
  • To avoid cube weapons fly low below the cube so that when you are just inside 10k from the probes you are more than 10k from the cube.
  • Allocate a Kang Guard and back them up. If Kang dies you lose with no reward, less than 75% no bonus.
  • Enemy ships attacking Kang will ignore other ships. They can fire on the Kang from 10k so take them out early.
  • Once a shipyard and cude is destroyed it will no longer produce attack ships.
  • On Normal Difficulty two Borg Raptors will spawn instead of a Raptor and Negh'var after the first batch of probes are destroyed.
  • Kang Guard should primarily be well armed, when possible also have repair abilities.
  • Once cleanup is complete hail the Kang and prepare to fight the Assimilated Carrier.
Recommended Equipment
This is an elite misison you will take ship damage if you die. Bring these items and repair during death timer. You will never receive critical injuries unless you die with a pre-existing injury.

Are some good points thanks for feedback will work on guide.

The comments in video are shortened, as a brief guide. If you have other more in depth guides happy to link them in other resources section.

If you fly low below cube when you are just inside 10k from the probes you are more than 10k from the cube. Unless cube weapons have longer than 10k range? I will expand the explanation of this.

Good point in extending the critical components explanation. I still see people playing elite missions without them.

Will enhance the section about shield and hull heals. Personally I run most of the weapons you recommend and have hull and shield heals for Kang.

I will expand the explanation of defeating shipyards to include strategies of removing probes first or taking out whole yard. Are different strategies RMMRL, MRRML or RML often I have to watch what the team is doing and adapt accordingly. Will change video description to reflect the strategy it’s using.

[part 2/2]

"Enemy ships ... can fire on the Kang from a long distance so take them out early."
No longer than the normal 10km, actually. They certainly shred the poor thing once they get there, though.

"After first shipyard destroyed Negh’var Warships may be sent at Kang"
That'd be Raptors. See the note about enemy spawn mechanics.

"Kang Guard should ideally have shield repair and hull repair."
Nah, more like AoE damage (Cannon: Scatter Volley, Torpedo: Spread, or even Beam: Fire At Will). With a good Kang guard, the Kang never gets so much as scratched.

Under Recommended Equipment, don't list critical components. Instead, note that you never receive critical injuries unless you die with a preexisting injury, which you won't if you repair during death as recommended in the guide.

In summary, the guide does not accurately describe how to complete The Cure Found: Elite. I'd be willing to work with you to improve it. My ingame handle is @athgaar; give me a shout!

[part 1/2, character limits]

First off, having a video, especially such a long one, as the centrepiece of your guide, is detrimental because it makes the guide take longer to peruse. The video itself also contains numerous errors, most notably about the enemy spawn mechanics. Please research that, and possibly dedicate a section of this guide to it.

"Work as a team take down one shipyard at a time. Experienced teams may target two at a time however focused fire is more efficient."
Recommend replacing this inaccurate line with explanations of mrrml and rml, the more common and effective strategies for cse.

"Staying below the shipyard will help keep you out of range of the cube while destroying probes."
Inaccurate. The cubes' cutting beams and tractor beam ability have a 360 degree arc, able to fire in any direction. Delete this line.
