Ubisoft or some other big studio also spends something like 400-600 million dollars on their AAA projects and 5-8 years of development, but they already have studio and they dont have to develop several dozen new techs in the process, while organizing several studios from scratch. So i see no reason to cry about how SC is so long in the making, because they had to build several crews and studios and several dozen new techs just to make some game features possible. Its the most complex space simulator game ever that they are making. just relax, enjoy other games while they do it. Development for SQ42 has entered polishing stage, all features implemented. ETA 2026, since they are not going to add more features, then its quite possible that there won't be any major delays from that ETA.

i feel this in my soul. I love x4 as a single player game and SC is the second closest thing as an mmo. The first being the obvious, EVE.

I play both and enjoy both. You can like more than one thing. SC runs great on my low end gaming PC. x4 also runs great.
