How to have a positive mental attitude.
By Marci
How to overcome all the hate that is thrown at you during a game of competitive paladins...
When playing any role you're going to have hate no matter who you are you could even be pro they still get hate, in hindsight it's inevitable to avoid but what we can learn is to be positive about it and learn and improve, you may put thousands of hours into paladins and still have no success but trying will help you succeed! In this guide we will go over some of the best ways on how to hype up the train to master!

Positivity is needed!
What makes you happy?
It could be your dog, a stuffed toy or maybe something else.
find what makes you happy and use it to help create an atmosphere of happiness after all games are supposed to be fun.

Now that you are happy you need to mentally prepare, try saying "I can do this!" Now dont be afraid jump into a normal game of payload and practice with your chosen champion. I myself enjoy playing Support but I'm far from master being only Platinum IV at the moment, with positivity you have to belive in yourself and give yourself an edge against the opponent to make the call to co-ordinate your team to lead with that covered now you are all warmed up with your main champion. try to pick a secondary role incase of being unable to get your primary role this is called Flexing a good talent to have in any game being able to diversify yourself to what your team needs!

On to the next part!
Mentally setting up
Regardless of the team setup that you have during ranked, stay positive and happy it maybe non meta to not have a tank and have 3 flanks but if they play right you can win!

Demotivating teammates
The bane of every paladin support player, the real nightmare is this kind of team they put you in the dirt for not constantly healing them despite them running off and dying miles away from the payload.
  • Take a deep breath
  • Relax yourself
  • Remain Calm

Toxic teammates
If anyone insults you during the beginning of the game just mute them and save yourself the frustration they can cause.

Is your teammate having a hard time, give them a boost when they get a kill with a friendly message "good job!" "Nice kill!" or anything positive remember you are playing with people with feelings so making someone feel better could turn a game in your favour!

Most importantly, if you give respect you'll get it back.
we all need a little mercy.

Thank you for reading this is my first guide on steam and to be honest I have no idea what I'm doing either.

Never give up, never stop striving for perfect, belive in yourself, be happy!

Mercy
(IGN:Little Mercy) Named after the song below :D
Take time to reflect on why the game afterwards.
I reflect listening to this
Ilan Eshkeri - Forgotten Song
Ghost of tsushima does a lot of things right with its soundtrack!

What to think about while reflecting?
  • Your performance, look for positive and negative. what went well, what didnt go so well.
  • You cannot blame your team they could be having a hard time too.
  • What could you have changed in your play style to be more fluid.
  • Don't forget to relax and be calm tilt does bad things to all of us.
  • Think practising and play to your strengths whilst trying to stay calm.

Reflecting after a fight happens too even thought you may not think it
yeah that "group up" ping is reflecting that you need to be more uniform strength in numbers.

try to be the change you wish to see.

I'm honestly glad I stopped playing this game around 7 months ago. Life still sucks but without Paladins its much better lol.

if u get silver teammates while ur what plat or diamond anyone would slowly be raging and get toxic its just what happens once u get trolls in ur game though most will prob be less toxic once u actually try to contribute to the team like askin what to go or how to play and most will prolly help u improve
