INTRODUCTION
Hello. First things first: I have never written a guide before, so I'm sorry if it's weird. I'm just your average gamer trying to figure stuff out. So, why did I go through the trouble? Especially since I came upon the Baldur's Gate series almost 20 years late? Because A.) I couldn't find ANY comprehensive guide online on romancing Rasaad! What's up with that? The internet is supposed to have all the answers! and B.) As a result of this, I screwed up my romance early on without realizing it, was mad/sad, and had to replay the game with a lot of research and a step-by-step process. So, this guide practically wrote itself. Maybe a guide exists somewhere and I just never found it? If that's the case, then, whoops. But if not, well, my friend told me I should be the change I wish to see in the world. Thus, this guide was born.

The guide itself is tailored to Baldur's Gate noobs (like myself) and I tried to give guidance without including too many spoilers. Ideally, if you want to romance Rasaad, you can read through it as you play without me giving too much away. Please note, this guide only pertains to Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition. It does not include the first Baldur's Gate or the Siege of Dragonspear DLC. I didn't have any problems with those two games myself, so I didn't bother.

1. CONSOLE COMMAND INFORMATION
Throughout your playthrough, use the below console commands to check or modify your romance progression as needed. There are many guides on how to use console commands, so I won't go into that here.

C:GetGlobal("RasaadRomanceActive","GLOBAL") - Check current romance status.
A returned value of "1" means relationship is open, AKA, in the flirtation phase. "2" Means you are committed. "3" Means the relationship has ended permanently and will not progress further. It's a good idea to check this variable after every love-talk, just to make sure you didn't end it on accident.

C:SetGlobal("RasaadRomanceActive","GLOBAL",X) - Set romance X status to 1, 2, or 3.
You can use this to put your romance back on track if you screwed something up. Honestly though, reloading a prior save is the more reliable course of action.

C:AdvanceRealTime(999999) - Advance real time to the maximum.
Rasaad's LoveTalks are based on a timer that tracks passage of real-world time. It sits somewhere close to an hour, I think. If you are trying to get to his next lovetalk, you can use this command to expire that real-time timer. It will work as long as other conditions (such as resting or story progression) are met. Be advised, this timer is not exclusive to Rasaad and will also progress any other elements of the story that are relying on this timer, such as other character dialogues or cutscenes. Save before using.
2. ROMANCE INITIATION
Rasaad is located in Tradesmeet – make sure to pick him up early in order to allow time for the romance to unfold. Rasaad’s fist romance dialogue (LoveTalk or "LT" for short) triggers in Athkatla. Subsequent dialogue is dependent on either being or resting outside. LT1-LT9 can occur before completing his personal quest. You can generally be honest or frivolous, just avoid being mean enough to cut the conversation short. You might not get these talks all this exact order, but this is the order I got them in. Use this list to make sure you are on track and progressing in the romance. I will add a comment below the listed LoveTalk if there are any key notes about the dialogue.

LT1 - You are changed. It seems to me there was once a light in your eyes... but no longer.

LT2 - It's strange to be back in Athkatla after what happened here between Gamaz and I.

LT3 - Can I speak to you?

- Avoid Option 3 "Think again, monk." as it will terminate the romance.

LT4 - (Rest Outside) It's cold tonight...

LT5 - Your combat technique is improving.

LT6 - May I speak with you?...

- This talk only occurs if you have Anomen in your party. He will ask if you have feelings for Anomen. If you want to continue romancing Rasaad, say "no" or "I don't think so". Denying feelings for Anomen will shut off Anomen's romance permanently. If you wish to continue flirting with both of them, just say "not right now" when Rasaad first asks to speak with you. However, he will keep bugging you about it periodically, and your relationship cannot progress until you answer.

LT7 - You are so...

- If you tell him you are not interested in him during this dialogue, it will terminate the romance.

LT8 - (Chapter 4 - Triggers after Spellhold dungeon) You look pale. Are you alright?

LT9 - I wish I had seen more places such as this as a child. The city was wondrous, but this puts marble and gold to shame.
3. COMMITTING TO THE RELATIONSHIP
You must complete Rasaad's personal quest in order to commit to the relationship. Committing means that you are now excluded from entering a romantic relationship with someone else, and subsequent romance-specific dialogue will take place with Rasaad throughout the rest of the story. His quest, "Rasaad's Journey", triggers in the Athkatla City Gates district and is available starting Chapter 2. Feel free to either be supportive of Rasaad’s faith during his quest, or challenge his beliefs. A couple of key notes about his quest are below:

- NOTE 1: If you complete quest "Anomen's Judgement" before locking the romance with Rasaad, then Anomen may automatically become your love interest and Rasaad's romance will be terminated. You must complete "Rasaad's Journey" in SoA and lock in his romance BEFORE completing Anomen's trial. I assume this same rule applies for Hexxat and/or Dorn if you have them in your party. Apparently Rasaad is shy and easily blocked by other NPCs.

- NOTE 2: Toward the end of his quest, you can either encourage Rasaad to stick with Selune worship or turn him toward the Twofold philosophy. If you go a step further and tell him to become the new leader of the Twofold Trust, then he will leave the party permanently until Throne of Bhaal. You won't be able to get him back or commit to the relationship, so I wouldn't recommend it. Unless you care SO much about him that you're willing to give him up for his greater good. More power to you.

LT10 - (Rest outside sometime after completing his personal quest) I must tell you - after the events of these past weeks, I feel myself drawn to you, in a way I never imagined possible.

- If you react agreeably to this conversation and spend the night in "impulsive" activities, then, congratulations, you are now committed to the relationship! Romance variable should be "2" in the console instead of "1".

LT11 - You are driving me to distraction!

- If you end the conversation by telling him he is a fool to look to you for guidance, he will leave the party permanently.

LT12 - For so long, I have wanted to lean in and kiss you, but held back. I can hardly believe I am now able to do this...

LT13 - (Chapter 6, after Bodhi's lair) We need to talk.

- After the last trip to Bodhi's Lair, Rasaad will dump you for Alorgoth. Gross. During this dialogue, ensure you choose options that end with Romance Variable still at 2. If you end it by saying you won't remain friends and that his heart is made of ice, it will terminate the romance. This is the last romance dialogue for Shadows of Amn. But he'll say some sweet words to you before you kill Irenicus.
4. THRONE OF BHAAL
In Throne of Bhaal, the romance operates about the same way it did in SoA. You must either be outdoors or in the pocket plane. Below are the lovetalks in sequence. Generally, you can be pretty rude to him and he'll just take it, figuring he deserves it. (And he’s right!) LT14-LT16 can occur before completing his next personal quest. There are several points at which you can tell him to stop talking to you, but, the romance variable remains at 2 afterward. So, I don't think you can break up with him in ToB even if you want to! But why risk it.

LT14 - You seem weary.

LT15 - Remind me again why you wanted to visit the Hells?

LT16 - (Triggers after rest) I could not sleep.

The quest "Rasaad's Journey" picks up again as you are traversing the world map. You are ambushed by Sharrans and will pick up a convenient map to their new hideout. Mine triggered pretty early - I was travelling to North Forest for the first time after getting out of Saradush. But I had spent several hours in Saradush being anal about quests.

LT17 - I know I have not been at my best of late...

- This lovetalk will occur sometime after you complete his quest. Surprise surprise, he asks to be together again. Say yes or no as you please. This is the last lovetalk of Throne of Bhaal regardless.
5. EPILOGUES
Here is some general guidance about how his epilogue will pan out depending on what you choose to do, without giving too much away. If you want the exact verbiage for his epilogues, they are easily found online.

1. If you choose to remain mortal and stay with Rasaad, then he gets a pretty happy epilogue (if you consider living to old age before being murdered "happy". I do, considering the alternative.)

2. If you choose to become a god, then Rasaad will have a sad epilogue (being murdered at a young age.) This is also the non-romance epilogue which occurs if, during his quest in SoA, you convince him to stick with the Selunites and reject the Twofold Trust.

3. I know there is a third option, but am not sure if it can be achieved as a player who romanced him. If, during his SoA quest, if a non-romance player encourages him to accept the Twofold Trust philosophy, then he will live out the rest of his days in quiet contemplation as the new leader of the Twofold Trust. However, I was not able to get this epilogue as a romance partner who became a god, even though I had encouraged him to adopt the Twofold philosophy. If anyone else WAS able to achieve this, then I hope they'll share their experience. I'm curious if it's possible. (Sometimes I just wanna become a god, but know he'll be ok and not die tragically in a doomed redemption quest. Ya know?)
CONCLUSION
That's it for my first ever guide! If you enjoyed it and it helped you achieve your romance goals, please rate it up. If not, drop a comment below and I'll try to make it better.

I finished Bhodie's (sp?) lair for chapter 6 but I haven't had any new talks with Rasaad. He's seemed very happy with all of my choices so I don't know where I could have gone wrong. Unfortunately, I also cannot get clua console working.

Do you have one of these for his BG1 romance?

THANK YOU!

I kept wondering why he wouldn't start the romance. Must have been because I finished Anomen's story pretty quick, though I shut him down a while back.

A couple console commands later (Set from 3 to 1) and boom, Rasaad is talking all sweet.

Haven't tested it personally, but according to Beamdog forums, Rasaad does not have any alignment restrictions. So you should b good to go as Lawful Neutral.

Do you need to be alignment good? Or can I be Lawful Neutral?
