sorcerer is a militia ship, also unless it requires a rank if you show up with an overwhelming firepower ship you can get access to the pirate base by having a nearby ship surrender to you via hailing and it will let you dock since all nearby vessels consider you friendly

Polaris is my favorite, because it's got tons of firepower, but is also maneuverable.

There's also a couple good ships between Tennhausen and the Polaris. ;)


My disappointment is that there's no way to get the Pirate faction ships without being a pirate... and I'm not going to be a pirate. Soooo... I never get to use the Sorcerer or other neat ships.

Tennhausen is best ship in game until you can finally afford the battle barge that is BlackGate and take on anything the game has to throw at you

Very nice, but it would be really great, if you could get a permission from Marinx at GOG [gog.com] to include his PDF ship stats chart [drive.google.com] and a link to his sortable ship stat Excel spreadsheet [drive.google.com].
