[OUTDATED] USSP Red October

Built for survival, in survival.

The USSP Red October is a destroyer, although it possesses some unusual qualities for such a ship. Its primary role is to engage in direct combat with other capital ships, including those larger than itself. In addition to its bristling array of turrets, it also has a four-ship hangar and connectors that can be used for guided missiles, giving it some carrier-like aspects. All essential ship systems are contained within a heavily armored citadel located below the bridge.

Another important feature of the Red October is the large array of fixed rocket launchers in the nose, recessed behind a ramming spike and reinforced by heavy armor. In close-range brawls, this system is sure to eviscerate any ship that gets in its way.

On top of all this, the Red October is also capable of atmospheric operations (although extended periods of time in-atmosphere are not recommended due to the large amount of hydrogen needed to keep the ship in the air), and the large amount of hydrogen thrusters on the bottom of the ship provides a quick way to dodge missiles or ramming ships while in battle- just hold “space.”

The Red October is server- and survival-friendly.
