The Turks & the Romans now stand as two giants divided by the fortresses on the Aegean & Bosporous; with control over the City of World's Desire being the prize of this clash of empires!"

The unofficial successor to the "No Sack of Constantinople" mod, this mod turns the Balkans into a scenario if the 4th Crusade failed & Byzantium retained its European holdings at the time; while slowly losing Anatolia to Rum, the Mongols, & finally the Ottomans

Byzantium holds it's cores in Greece, the surrounding islands, as well as having cores on the Anatolian territory held at 1204. Northern Bulgaria was restored and Serbia has been given the area of what is now North Macedonia. The provinces have been tweaked to almost seamlessly transition from the first bookmarks to subsequent dates. In addition; the Byzantine states in Theodoro & Trebizond have been guaranteed or vasselized by Byzantium; with a couple branch events for Theodoro & Cyprus. The Rise of the Ottomans bookmark and the Crusade of Varna were tweaked to reflect this new scenario. The Balkans region has been given its classical name, Haemus, which was official prior to 1490.

A couple of new events for Byzantium were added, related to the Renaissance & Independence from vassalage.

Since the files for the countries, events & provinces were edited, this will change your checksum and is therefore not compatible with Ironman Achievements.
