This gives your allies a infinite amount of time to beat on the monster(s) or boss(es).
Also the lake temple area is much better for farming gold, as titanic bones sell for 1k each, and you can get like 1-2 from each monster in the zone.
I find the best for this is Calilica's Gravity Sphere. I really only started farming this thing once I needed the Rune set for 20k+ per piece.
Either way, equip Calilica with your best Skill Ring to decrease the SP cost, and the Golden Axe to increase gold dropped. Make sure your SP meter is full before attacking, then just spam Gravity Sphere. Gravity Sphere damages the golden pikkard while holding it in place so that your other two party members can beat on it until it dies. Refill your SP meter on nearby monsters, stand where the pikkard spawns, save, spam load until it appears, repeat the process. I did this in the Sunlit Ruins which have low level scorpions to beat on to get your SP back.
Quite often the monster gets stuck on ores that are near the edge of the map's boundary, as the AI cannot tell that it's blocked by another object. Later in the game, attacks that 'push' or 'pull' enemies via gravitational effects, works on the Golden Pikkard.
Meaning if you kill the Golden Pikkard 100 times, you can buy that... But putting these stats on the weaker starter weapons isn't advisable since stronger weapons comes by very often, as does stronger materials as you progress through the game.
