Notice that none of the changes we are going to perform will disable the achievements. They are not tied in with the variables of the file infact with the progression of this game. However, ethically you know we are taking a shortcut so I would say don’t play into the multiplayer to gain an unfair advantage. These changes we are going to make are ONLY for the ‘Single-Player’ portion. So, use this only if you want to complete that portion faster. And I won't take responsibility for your Steam ban if you are found to be cheating, so again use this only & ONLY for the Singleplayer portion.

In this game, there is no Steam Cloud as of it yet, so changing boolean variables even a little bit in file would do direct affect in the game such as corrupting a save slot until you overwrite it. So you have to make sure not to mess with anything else then what I recommend. Also what's the point of playing a game if you progressing faster than what is intended by the Devs? So I will keep it minimal but you may do things at your own risk (sorry!).

First, close the game if you haven't done so. Now, locate—

C:\Users\<YOUR PC NAME>\AppData\LocalLow\Ludosity

{Know that remote directory can be elsewhere, but most likely it will be in C:\ if that's where Steam files are, if you can't find the folder then do a quick search in your PC with title 'Ludosity' it should come up}. If you have found it, great!, open it, then open CardCityNights2 folder.

Now, there are a lot of folders, but 'campaign' folders are where we do these changes. DO NOT MAKE CHANGES TO MULTIPLAYER FOLDER UNLESS YOU ARE A CHEATER. But first you have to make sure which save slot you have chosen in the game. If you began a new game with the slot on top-left in game, then your folder would be 'campaign0', similar idea, if another slot then 'campaign1' and so on.

So, if you only have one slot in the game, it is likely that it will be 'campain0.' If not, then better way to find out is open each campain folder and see which one has the files. If a particular folder has it, then that's it.

Next open you 'campaign0' folder or where ever your files are and please locate progress.txt and open it. The number uptop is your 'rank' in game. Don't change it, it will mess up the progression by unlocking areas, and unlocking boosters pack in the card vending machine which you are supposed to get unlocked via game's story and player progression. Since this guide is about getting 'Gold', I am only going to show you that.

• To change the Gold in game do this (Ctrl+f);
  Look for: Gold;
  Change: Gold;<Your desired amount> (no space after the ;)
  Next: Close and save the file in .txt format

(There are also a lot of straightforward variables names which are easy to guess what they are intended to do in-game. For instance, if you desire to be an undefeated "The Legendary Card Player", you can change variable 'Losses' to Losses;0....but I never said that.)

Now to wrap things up, if you did those easy steps, you will have desired amount of 'Coins' when you start the game next time.

I can't stress this enough: please donot change anything else, unless you want a bad progression. Offcourse there are ways to get more of your favourite cards, to unlock a new skin, finding all of the hidden coins in the game world, and even how AI plays with you tactically. I have done these as an experiment, and am telling you, playing this game afterwards has no point. You have bought this game, so why not play and get out your money's worth. The reason why I showed you 'Gold' is because getting it in game can become grindy.
