NVIDIA Soft Shadows Fix
By TehSpoopyKitteh
This is the only method to fix the glitch for FEAR and its expansion packs where the game will automatically disable soft shadows if you use Antialiasing with any modern NVIDIA graphics card.

Windows 10 Compatibility Fix
This is fairly simple. Just go to "\Steam\steamapps\common\FEAR Ultimate Shooter Edition".

Right Click on FEAR.exe, slesect "Properties". Go to the "Compatibility" tab and use the settings from the screenshots.

The compatibility tab is fairly easy to configure.

The next setting to change is for the DPI:

Click OK to exit the DPI settings window, then click Apply for the properties Window of FEAR.exe.

NVIDIA Antialiasing Soft Shadows Fix
Warning, this setup guide deals with advnaced settings. If you have any doubts about this at all...ask a computer savy friend to help. These settings need to be applied individiually to Perseus Mandate and Extraction Point

First thing to do is start the game and disable VSync and FSAA...Enable Soft Shadows and shadows. Save your settings and exit the game.

Download and install NVIDIA Profile Inspector.
https://ci.appveyor.com/api/buildjobs/on2rksmw6xh32bky/artifacts/nspector%2Fbin%2FnvidiaProfileInspector.zip

Unzip it anywhere you like...then run it as Administrator:
Go to the F.E.A.R profile by doing a search for it exactly as I typed it...

Change the following settings (use the Antialiasing fields however you like) to as follows.

If you are using a 144Hz Monitor, you will want to adjust the frame limiter setting to 144.4 FPS and the Refresh field to 0x00000090 (note it is in base 16 hexidecimal)

The DX9 and DX10 Antialiasing compatbility fields will need to have the following in them.
0x004030C0

As for the AA, you can use pretty much any setting your video card will allow you to use.

When you are done messing about with NVIDIA Profile Inspector, click on "Apply Changes" and exit out of the app.

Note that if you do not want to repeate this every driver update, you can eaily export these settings using NVIDIA profile inpsector and then import them again to the profile.

Here's a direct comparison of all my 3 records so far, while record 3 uses the recommended settings from here (including an FOV of 90).

Can confirm that those settings work.
Previously I only used the compatibility bits on the first "Antialiasing compatbility" but not on the one with (DX1x), as I thought it's out of use.
Yet it didn't work properly, but maybe another setting was faulty too?

Anyways, I had to downgrade 4xMSAA to 2xQ, which renders at the same performance as 2xMSAA but can look way better.
Reported downside of that technique is that it looks blurry, but I cannot recall that while playing F.E.A.R. and it appears to look better than 2xMSAA.

Playing on 4K works with 4xMSAA on my rig too, but as I want to record the game either, my machine gets on the end of its powers with that setting. So I have to stick to 2xQ.
