Central - Train - Station

Hello everybody !


This one is another station I have created and compared to the ones before,
this is a big one. ;)
The station itself has no real role model. Its just something that "came into
my mind" ;).

There are three train tracks and two metro tracks within it. So it is
also a hub, like the two station I made before. There are no "hidden ped paths"
within the asset, so that you can follow your cims all the way they take
to change the trains or leave the station. For that I suggest one of the
first person mods.


There are some issues with the model. First of all, it is not that detailed
compared to other station arround. There are so much more better talended asset
creators than me. Maybe the following creations are getting "better"...

Second, there are some texture issues, which I couldn´t solve. Sorry for
that, but sometimes it is a bit confusing. Even when you are using the
exact same textures within the models, they look sometimes somewhat differnt in
the game and I don´t know why. :( I hope thats not a big problem for you guys.
(for the platforms for example, you can pretend, that they were made "new" ;) )



You have to place the station on flat ground. The metro tracks are at - 13 metres.
There are ped connections at back and the right side of the station. So
the cims can enter from three positions.



To the asset. It consists of one main building and 7 sub- buildings. The tris counts
about 25k in total. But when you look at the assets size, I think that that is
ok. You are not going to use it all over your city I guess ... ;)

The "biggest" building is the main on which has somewhat arround 17k tris.

Every sub building has a custom made Lod mesh. The lods are between 4 tris and
arround 150 tris, except for the main lod. I did all my best to do it as small
as possible, but I ended up with 1K. :(
The texture sizes vary between 256² to 2048² (only the main has a 2048² texture).
The lod textures vary from 128² to 256², which is totally ok I think.
But keep all that in mind, if you are using a somewhat "weaker" machine.


Because of the size and the use of the same textures I highly recomment, that you use
the Loading - Screen - Mod by thale5.

This mod will help you to reduce the amount of memory that is needed to use the asset.
The mod provides a technique to share the same textures from different models. And
all the textures I used in the different sub building are almost all the same.

And there is another mod you can use, but it is not necessary.

I suggest that mod, because I used some glas parts within the model. They are not
that big so the mod is no dependency, but a good addition. ;)
