Hey Invoker spammers ...
This very guide is all about skipping Hand of Midas and on how to spend your gold "propperly" and valuable stat- items.
Do not get me wrong.. I still like Hand of Midas on Invoker but I have experienced that it is not necessarily needed and there can be alot of downsides to Midas Aghanims rush.
For all the cocky players out there: Please stop spamming stupid comments, rather critisize what you do not like about my playstile and what you think can be improved. Let me understand your train of thought :D
My intend with this guide is to share my experiences on Invoker and to suggest my current playstile as another option for you guys ( may you be a new player or an invoker spammer ^^ ).
I created this guide for Invoker when SF was snowballing middle - lane very easily.

So what do I mean with stat - items?
Well the items I mainly go for in 90% of my games is Null Talisman as a starter, Aquila, Power Treads or Phaseboots (for turnrate and movement speed), Euls (for mana regen, movement speed, active dispell/ disable) into Aghanims Scepter.
Boots and it's stats in combination with Aquila are very valuable and will pay off for themselves.
With the early stats of Talisman and or Aquila you will be able to either just sustain in lane, push, harass and kill, survive ganks or simply farm.
Of course you do not want to afk farm .. otherwise just build the traditional midas :)
Euls scepter as an item adds up really well with Invokers need and greed to have his mana regened and it improves his poor movement speed further.
3 Spell/ Euls combo is pretty bad these days and it is not my intend to build Euls only because of it's active porpuse.
Though it is the cheapest and most valuable disable and dispell item in the game right?
Aswell in lategame Euls is still pretty valuable and a nice item to have in most situations.
After Euls I will straight go for Aghanimst, which I usually am able to finish within 3 or 4minutes.
Minute 20-22 is a great time mark for Aghanims + Euls etc. .
The advantage of this build, comparing it to the Midas --> Aghanims rush, is the great versatility it offers.
Even if you will be able to buy Aghs on Midas - voker min 15 or so, you will still find yourself farming or being rather "useless" in most of your games.
Everyone knows Invoker with naked boots and just Aghs doesnt want to fight inmediately.
Meanwhile you could already landing some combos, preparing fights for your team mates or killing people due to the sustain you gain from the "stat - items".
This playstil requieres practise and perfection. That is the downside. A player that doesnt farm well with Invoker, sucks on lane or gets too excited roaming around searching for kills will probably make poor use of my methodes.
