One of the main features of the released Update 1.9 was the added feature to create repaintings for the buses, which is still at the stage of alpha testing and without the support of Workshop.
Now we will tell you how to make a repainting for a bus.

1) Open the game folder where Steam is installed (usually it's in Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ Bus Driver Simulator ). Here open the following folders: Bus Driver Simulator_Data \ StreamingAssets \ Buses_Examples
At this address there are all the repainting of buses.
All the users paintings should be inside this folder: Bus Driver Simulator_Data \ StreamingAssets \ Buses

2) In order to create a new repainting, you can copy the folder of the corresponding bus and then write the name of your repainting (for example, LZ_Red). Then you need to move folder that you created into the Bus Driver Simulator_Data \ StreamingAssets \ Buses

3) Open the repainting folder and see the graphic files. They are responsible for the displaying of the bus in the game. There are not only the basic textures, but also the normal map, metallic and occlusion. You can only change the basic texture without touching the rest. The normal map in this version of repaints is not supported.

4) Textures can be opened by almost any graphic editor.

5) When you finish repainting your bus, to start using the repainted bus, go to the 5th submenu of the main menu settings in game. Here find the repainting created, select it, click on it and open the scenario with that bus. Check is everything fine with your repainting.

6) If you want to share your work with others - send a link of the archive with your repaint and screenshots. We will publish the best works. Also you can publish your repaint yourself on the Steam game forum.
