Introduction
Some of you may remember the old stunt-rolling exploit which you could use to increase your speed when flying. You can't do the exploit anymore, BUT you can however do the exploit if you are affected by a boost/risk boost. The speed difference should be quite noticeable, especially in Dream Valley. This guide will tell you how the basics works.
Instructions!
If you were familiar with the old stunt-rolling exploit then you should be able to understand this guide quite easily.

When you're flying and you try to roll you will slow down a bit, but if you're rolling when you've got a boost then your speed will instead increase just like in the old days. So all you have to do is to either fly through a boost, use a boost item or get a risk-boost, and then while the boost is in effect you need to roll a little bit sideways at a moderate pace to the direction there you want to go. Don't roll too quickly or your stunt will fail and you will lose speed!

How many rolls can you do while you're having a boost? Well, if you're fast enough then you can do 4 rolls until the boost ends, but you should do 3 rolls if you don't wanna risk it and lose speed.

This method works for ALL boosts that you can get while flying, including the orange rings in Dream Valley (pictured below).

If you're still unsure how this works, please take a look at my video that I made back in the day when you could roll without a boost. It works just like it did back then, the only major difference is that now it only works when you're affected by a boost. Simple right? The rolling in the video starts at 1:38

Conclusion
So, does this really work? Yes it does. If you find it hard to roll when you're flying then you should practise a bit. This method works best for Dream Valley because that track is full of boosts and it's pretty large. If you're having a hard time finding any boosts you should try performing risk-boosts instead, if possible.

UPDATE: You can also use drift boosts for this.

GOOD LUCK, AND NEVER FORGET, GOTTA GO FAST

There won't be any effect when you roll, but there is an effect when you are currently in a boost. The back of the vehicle should get some flames of varying color.

Hello, is there any sign (like, for example the color behind the car, red / pink / blue etc) that shows that it's done correctly ?

Thank you for the tip !
