解説
No longer needed for 1.188+, Keen fixed the AI (mostly), mod will remain here for people that like to rollback
Update: Fixed> wolves and spiders should no longer attack eachother, and spiders should no longer deburrow just as you move away from them, fixes found by Wolfenray (links below)
Wolves are static, Spiders keep Burrowing and then coming back up? well here is a temporary work-around :)

Wall of text:
I did some digging, some testing, and found one of the AI Actions (GotoTarget) is broken, so this work-around just reverts it to what it was using before quite a while ago (GotoTargetNoPathfinding). This means the wolves and spiders won't try to get to you using any Path-finding code and will just go straight for you.

This will also fix anything that would normally use the default wolf/spider AI, any mod that comes with its own AI set would need to be updated manually with this temporary work-around, however, there is an expected side-effect, all of the 'Bots' will probably attack eachother if a sim speed glitch occurs, or you move too fast, or gain some altitude unexpectedly, and they lose their proper targeting info at the wrong point during their sequence, i will try to fix this but i think its in the actual game code instead of a simple Definition file.

Hopefully KEEN will fix this quickly and properly and not just use this work-around (i sent them a detailed bug report via the Discord server and RexBot(bot no longer exists))

feel free to use this quick fix in whatever it is needed to go into to fix your mods, serverpacks etc, just remember to remove it after the issue gets fixed and the animal AI is able to use path-finding to get to you

Thanks go to Wolfenray for looking further into the files and doing some more tweaking and finding the 2 needed fixes, go check his mod out, it does more than just fix things, it makes the wolves and spiders more realistic, and scary, the spiders can clime walls :)

i know but it was the 1.182.0 patch that broke that behavour, if you roll back to the patch just before that they work like they used too.

It did pre 1.182.0. I tried about a year ago to do it myself but unfortunately im not great at coding :(

Also I don't suppose you would know how to get the AI to attack nearby grids when they are unable to get to the player would you?

I loaded this mod, stepped outside my base on alien planet, and had to clean my suit. Wow! the spiders are actually threatening now.

Spiders and wolves/zombies should be another variable you have to work with, not an annoyance/free loot mechanic. This does that, I now feel like I'm mining on a hostile planet.

Very nice, thankyou. This is the first mod I've added to my world. I'm trying to stay vanilla survival but after travelling to the alien planet in search of non-derpy NPC's (I hoped it was just the wolves that were broken), I've installed this. It's like "the floor is lava" because now I'm too scared to walk on the ground, and instead burning through hydrogen with my jetpack in 1.1g :D
