A mural on the wall is just truly paint, words are just words, and music is just noise. But humans find the meaning in it, with anime I couldn't fathom with it xD. (ffs steam just let me send more than a poem as a comment)

'm not even going to touch on that landmine, but right back at you "ideas are more powerful than weapons" - Joseph Stalin. You would think feminism would only be a western ideology but it's everywhere lol including niche countries like croatia. Now how did that happen? We developed as world? The internet had a role? Ideas are also found in all sorts of media we consume. In fact I believe most people would've been better off never learning about something than consuming it even for the sake of history, because you don't know how some people will react to certain ideas. An idea isn't simply knowledge but a seed that gets buried inside you and grows to shape your mind. So how does this tie back to anime? It ties back to what I said about finding meaning in something. The creator does not give meaning to its creation, just a soul to make it become alive, and it's called "The Death of the Author" and I believe it applies to everything not just literature.

@Mr. Wicked, your wataboutism argument is not realistic or consequential with your first statement.
quote "Asian culture is pervs and they’ve turned the world into pervs with their anime, films, and games that gaslight us into thinking naughty thoughts about anything and everything like all the time lol" end quote.
you are basically blaming all asian culture for the western degenracy that is actually creating more problems to the rest of the world regarding real affected minors.
From Epstein, to the rest of the tolerance of Europe union regarding "minorities playing with the locals"
So or you are basically backtracking or changing the goal post saying "oh but all other societies and minorities have degenerates" is just bogus statement. ACTUAL data shows that the nation that made "every one into pervs" have way less overall crime per % of population, than your so called "civilized western world who was pure before Anime".
Just pure bs dude.

clear the author wanted to convey something and so they poured out their soul to make it come alive. Essentially we have to look back for older titles to derive any semblance of meaning and soul most important of all, because modern artists can’t deliver. If a work of art is any good then you will indeed remember it. For console when I was picking out new games to try out I had to avoid the whole catalogue of anime games because my confidence was that low for them but I was generally open minded to try out anything, however they all look the same cover to cover and play almost identically in the rpg genre lol. I think at that point just set every game to easy and one shot bosses and simply enjoy the story, but since I came up with that idea I’ll be doing it myself later. (Also steam's limits so mb again)

I've been under the weather so mb, and games could be given a decently long pass since they do take time to develop. Anyhow I believe this principle applies across the entertainment space. There's no more good books, games, movies, music, and art for that matter. There's too many mediocre artists running about which makes it harder to find worth while experiences, stories, characters, and moments that transform the soul. Behind all the thrills and highs, we crave something more deep and innate. Current creators and companies are after trends, shortcuts, and copying the ideas of others to enrich and inspire their own work rather than taking the time to create something new and daring. The human mind was never meant to be a dopamine factory but a collection of experiences and I think that's the difference between good and bad art. Even something dark, gritty, and vile with a bad ending is able to convey immense meaning because on top of all those disturbing things and scenes it’s

What do you mean ‘not Asian origin’? The only games you’ve actually upvoted lately were literally developed by Chinese studios where most of them are Chinese.... Maybe it’s not the world that’s gone mad… maybe it’s just you waxing philosophical about culture and consumption in a place meant for memes and anime. Btw, speaking of 2025 ? You mean like Assassin’s Creed Shadows? Yeah, I'd pass on that mate.
Mr. Wicked 17 Apr @ 6:46pm
@Enrlich a lot of different nations have their own problem groups and questionable intricacies of their systems but I’m not bringing up any specifics. They’re pervs too, Indians, Middle East, and Hispanic too I’ll call out anyone brother.
Mr. Wicked 17 Apr @ 6:46pm
Thank you both for establishing what sells and what doesn’t sell in the current market of the world, which isn’t solely of Asian origin. Folks didn’t dip into anything, they’re just looking for material for fun times 🤣🤣 but there’s the saying you are what you consume. The whole world has gone mad with getting their rocks off and it’s…sadistic is what it is. And what does it say about one’s own culture that produces such art? But honestly I wouldn’t say any culture is clean for that matter and people will consume anything within reach at the end of the day. It’s a sad existence when you’re met with a catalogue of poor works or mediocre works with spice/(other flavoring) added to it and there’s no in between these days. I’m talking about new and on going releases however within a recent amount of time from 2025, so no going back to call upon the classics.
