Oxide Blaze

Hey you there, I am back with a new Oxide Blaze skin. I have no clue how I am still able to make oxide blazes after almost 2 years but there are still some weapons left which I want to cover. The PP-Bizon was definitly one of them and I want to show you it today. The PP-Bizon Oxide Blaze stays true to the original design of the Oxide Blaze series and includes everything that you love (or absolutely hate) about the skins.

Work Progress

The work progress was pretty simple since I have used the concept across a variety of weapons. It was just a question of executing it correctly. What I find worthwhile mentioning is the magazine and the dust cover since those were the only 2 parts which are unique to the PP-Bizon.

The magazine of the PP-Bizon on it's own is special and therefore I didn't just want to make it rusted. I created a fake depth design on the magazine to make it more interesting and give it a bit more flare. In the end I did not just wanted to make a reskin of the PP-Bizon rustcoat. I wanted to make sure there were enough differences between both skins so that it was actually useful to introduce this oxide blaze to the game. Because I added this fake depth I have also decided to include a normal map. While I know you need some phong to have the normal map take effect I decided that even with the little phong I have it was worthwhile to include this in my submission. It just gives it that little bit of extra definition which I find worthwhile the 2mb it adds to the total filesize.

As for the dust cover I got to say that I absolutely dislike the overall geometry of it. Since it's quite similair to the AK-47 I once again had an issue with coming up for a clever solution to fill that empty void of geometry. After asking some people for feedback they all agreed something had to go there so I went back in photoshop and added white stripes, identical to the buttstock, and made them very grungy. While it is very timid it still gives me the feeling that it filled that empty void on the dust cover.

Wear Progress

Ofcourse I played around with the wear, you should know me by now. In the factory new quality the main difference is the little notch and metal where the buttstock is clipped on when the buttstock is folded. At a floatvalue of 0.0000000x it barely has any damage but the moment you go a little to 0.01-0.07 it will start getting big scratches. Also the lever with which you can manually ejectv shells damages in the factory new condition. For the rest of the wear it just gets worse and worse till 0.80.

Final Words

Thank you for taking the time to read my description and I hope to have given you a view into the proces of me making it. I had fun making it and hope to soon put a finish to the Oxide Blaze collection. I never expected this collection to be so popular and succesful and I have you guys to thank for that. Much much love!! ♥♥

Thank you and have a good one! ♥
