people don't remember the days when they didn't have a computer that can run 100,000 polys on their computers..
those characters and their 3d mesh weren't even able to bend with the initial IK/FK settings due to such a low poly count.
I remember Marathon Infinity. Great game. 3d modeled weapons turned to low rez masked images. Same thing went with blizzard games.
