Biography
Tina "Frost" Lin Tsang is the JTF2's only defender, introduced during the Operation Black Ice update along with her partner, and only JTF2 attacker, Buck. She was born in Vancouver on the 4th of May 1985. Upon turning 18 she joined the RCAF, Royal Canadian Air Force, and then proceeded onto the Royal Military College of Canada as an Officer Cadet. She completed her officer training after gaining a bachelor's degree in Science and Mechanical engineering. After this she was sent to be stationed at CFB Comox with the JRCC, Join Coordination Centre Victoria, soon after this she was invited into JTF2, where she is to this day.

According to her military record, she is an extremely focused individual who plans out her every move, patient and never taking shortcuts.

Canada does not comment on the JTF2 and most of the units information is classified.

Weapons
Primary's
Super 90

This is one of Frost's 2 primary weapons, it is a shotgun similar to the SPAS-12 and M1014, however has slightly worse damage but makes up for this in better damage drop off. This weapon is good only for close quarters engagements, work with your team to get close if you chose to use this weapon.

Stats
  • Fire Mode - Semi-Automatic
  • Damage - 32 (x8)
  • Rate of Fire - 230 RPM
  • Mobility - 50
  • Magazine Size - 7+1
  • Max Ammo - 8+25 (pvp) 8+49 (T-Hunt)

Attachments
  • Red Dot Sight
  • Holographic Sight
  • Reflex Sight
  • Laser

Now despite what some people may believe, the Laser attachment is not worth having, as it gives your position away to enemies, it creates a small red dot wherever your weapon is pointing, which when you're attempting to stealth behind enemies, this will give you away. Also I firmly believe this weapon does not need a sight, the iron sights on this weapon are good enough for what the weapon needs, and since its a close range weapon, having a sight that magnifies will do nothing but make close quarters engagements more difficult.

9mm C1

This is Frost's 2nd primary weapon choice, a Canadianised version of the Sterling SMG. Unlike most other SMG's this has a slower rate of fire however is made up for its higher damage output. This weapon is good for medium range encounters and the occasional close range encounter, out of the 2 primary's this is the one I tend to use the most, as its a viable option for some longer range encounters unlike the shotgun which is only useful close up.

Stats
  • Fire Mode - Automatic
  • Damage - 43 36 (Suppressed)
  • Rate of Fire - 575 RPM
  • Mobility - 50
  • Magazine Size - 34+1
  • Max Ammo - 35+170 (pvp) 35+272 (T-Hunt)

Attachments
  • Red Dot Sight
  • Reflex Sight
  • Suppressor
  • Extended Barrel
  • Angled Grip
  • Laser

Again attaching a laser sight to this weapon will give your position away to the enemy, so I would not recommend using this. For sights, I again would recommend the iron sights, as they are fairly good and unless you plan on long distance shooting, they do not provide an advantage. A grip with this weapon is almost always necessary as this allows you to aim down faster, which when encountering an enemy is a god send. Barrel attachment is purely down to what you intend to do, the suppressor reduced damage however will not give your position away, but the extended barrel increases the minimum damage at range, meaning longer range engagements are more viable.

Secondary
MK1 9mm

This is Frost's only secondary weapon, its a modernized variant of the Browning Hi-Power (P35). The pistol lacks the raw power of the M45 MEUSOC but has decent ammo capacity, it is an average pistol.

Stats
  • Fire Mode - Semi-Automatic
  • Damage - 48 40 (Suppressed)
  • Rate of Fire - 360 RPM
  • Mobility - 50
  • Magazine Size - 13+1
  • Max Ammo - 14+52 (pvp) 14+91 (T-Hunt)

Attachments
  • Suppressor
  • Muzzle Break
  • Laser

As before, the laser is not worth using, due to its ability to give away your position to the enemy. Now for barrel attachments it depends on what you plan on doing, suppressor if you plan to be stealthy, however this reduces damage, or if you plan on being loud, a muzzle break is probably your best option as it reduces vertical recoil.
Gadgets
Deployable Shield

The deployable shield is a waist height metal barricade placeable by defenders, it can be used to protect the user from bullets and certain explosive devices, it may also be used to block doorways to slow attackers down. The shield can be used to hide traps behind, for example planting it in a doorway, and hiding a welcome mat behind may trick oncoming attackers into jumping over and into the trap. This shield can block bullets whilst in hand however only on a small area of the body. You will only be provided with 1 shield if you chose it.

Barbed Wire

The barbed wire is a small 1.25m piece of metal wire with barbs used to slow down attackers advances and create noise to alert nearby defenders. The wire will slow an attacker by 45% whilst stopping them from sprinting at all. The wire may also be used to hide traps however they can be seen through just not as easily as if the trap was in the open. You are provided with 2 barbed wire if you chose it.

Unique Gadget
Welcome Mat

The welcome mat is a small bear trap placed down by Frost, if an attacker steps onto the device it will snap closed, making a distinct clank sound. Once the attacker stands on the device they will instantly be downed, and unable to slow bleeding or move, this can be good for defender as it allows them to know where the enemy will be, and where any attackers will be upon healing their downed team mate. The device is very effective if placed under trapdoors or behind shields, whilst it can be effective behind barricaded doors and windows, most attackers will see, and destroy the device. You will be provided with 3 welcome mats upon choosing Frost.

Tactics
PVP
In pvp, plant your traps in dark places, places people won't look. A good place is behind shields or under windows, even placing it round a corner can work, as enemies may run for cover without looking and fall into your trap.
As for positioning, speak with your team, if you have a Vigil or Caveira, then stick in your room, stay hidden and wait, let the enemy come to you and into your trap. However if you have nobody lurking, then consider lurking for yourself, listen to your team mates calls and flank behind the enemy.

T-Hunt
In T-Hunt plant your traps in high traffic routes, doors, windows etc. The AI are rather stupid when it comes to traps.
Now with T-Hunt I prefer to be near the room, however not inside, your traps will let you know if AI have entered the room, giving you time to return and kill them. Also running outside the room will catch the AI off guard.
Final
Frost is a good defender, my personal favourite, use her wisely.

Thanks for reading through this, this was about 3 days of gathering information, however I can't promise everything will stay accurate due to updates etc. But if you notice anything wrong feel free to leave a comment letting me know. Anyway likes and fav's appreciated as always.

You should add that placing 2 traps behind a shield blocked door is a good idea, if there are not many entrance points. For me it worked atleast. Three riders bar, walkway from garage to armory is a good place, even if someone triggers one they wont expect a second one and its just hillarious to watch half their team jump inside them.
