Owlboy Logical Game Map
By apocalyptech
"Logical" Game Map of Owlboy, showing how various areas connect with each other. Possibly useful for navigating the game world, if you're prone to getting lost!

Overview
I frequently found, while playing Owlboy, that I couldn't remember how to get to a specific area, or I'd take a wrong path off of one of the game's main hub areas. Obsessed as I am with mapping video games anyway, I decided to put together a logical map of the game.

I've posted this in the Steam forums here, and also up on my own website[apocalyptech.com], but another user on Steam suggested I create a Guide for it as well, which makes sense. So here it is!

This was created using Dia 0.97.3[live.gnome.org], and is released under Public Domain / CC0 1.0 Universal[creativecommons.org].

For the original Dia file used to create this, check out the map's canonical homepage: http://apocalyptech.com/games/owlboy-map/
Map Notes
Taken from the text on the map itself:

This is a logical map of the entire Owlboy game world, intended to make it a little easier to navigate around. It doesn't attempt to catalogue secret areas, though some are in there because otherwise there would be gaps in the logical map. Boguin locations, Golden Disks, and Golden Disk pillars are noted, however. The areas in which the game keeps track of Buccanary Coins are grouped together and colored as well, so if you're hunting for coins in a specific zone but aren't sure where the borders are, this should help.

For the most part it should be pretty straightforward. Blue connector lines mean that a waterfall is in the way, so Twig is required to pass. There's a few connectors which require Alphonse, which perhaps I should note as well.

There's not always a 1:1 relation between strict game areas and this map. Rather, it's intended to simplify or expand, as needed for clarity. The Strato Hedge Maze, for instance, is rather abstracted. The individual circles in there aren't strict "rooms" as far as the game's concerned.
