While practicing the songs before your event, each song is given a point value to reach, before you are able to play the performance in the first place...
Once you are performing, you need to beat those point values +5% on each of them songs.
EG:
for practice/performance
Song A - 100rp/105rp
Song B - 200rp/210rp
Song C - 300rp/315rp
If the points have been met on all songs you get an encore. For this encore (i don't know the full amount of the calculation) you need to achieve the points it would be worth in practice mode
If you achieve the correct amount of points for this encore you can play encore2
NB: If you have 100% of either song unlocked you nearly always need to reach over 100krp for that song in the performance.
NB2: If you are doing a master song, I have been able to get the encore from 160krp+
NB2a: If the encore is a master song, then I have been able to get encore2 with 140krp+
If you are having trouble getting them because of such a high rank on guitar journey, you can start over with Bass and get them after a few events easily. You wont be able to get Star Spangled Banner on Bass, it is guitar only.
To get a chance to land a second encore (and unlock a bonus song), the first encore song had to then be played at an accuracy of 90% or higher. This is mnore difficult than it sounds, as you don't know in advance what the encore song will be.
