Happy Halloween! To help celebrate, here is a remake centred around Ravenholm, from Half Life 2.

Ravenholm is playable in both Deathmatch and Classic (Hostage). It features quite a bit of verticality thanks to the roofs and makeshift pathways. Long sight lines exist on the main street however there is cover for a drop down flanking route. Hostages spawn in the control room on the seond floor inside the yellow metal building near the Terrorist spawn.

The map was based on d1_town_03 with parts from d1_town_02. I chose d1_town_03 because I liked the layout and the idea of playing with verticality. It also allowed me to test a few techniques that I had seen done on a few official Valve maps too, like the drop down. The war torn guerilla feel of the map was easy to replicate too as quite a few Left 4 Dead assets are in CS:GO, making Ravenholm feel even more creepy.
