Borderlands FPS Boost

This help for everyone who have low pc like me. I had 25 fps average and this boost me to 55 fps.

Step 1: Go to:
C:\Users\-name-\Documents\My Games\Borderlands\WillowGame\Config

Step 2: Open File Named:
WillowEngine.ini

Step 3: Goto Site And Copy All Inside Textbox:
https://pastebin.com/1R3CdT0v

Step 4: Paste In to File:
WillowEngine.ini (Warning Default Res is: 640x480)

Step 5: Launch Options:
-DX9 -high

Step 6:
Like and add to favorite

@TyrannoWright: I don't know if you mean to make that shadow option true or false, but for me it was false, so I changed that and some other shadow options to true. And lo and behold, you were right - the game does run better without visual sacrifice. But sadly I still need to have some video options disabled to maintain more consistent frames.

but this game doesnt use DirectX11 though

If this helps anyone, I was able to restore 60fps without steps 1-4. Go to launch options: -dx11
I had tried the above method and several others while running on a laptop with a 970m. The dx11 line is the only thing that worked for me. Hopefully it helps someone else too.

followed the instructions and now my game looks like shit and the framerate didn't improve at all

the age of a game doesn't necessarily correlate with consistently guaranteed higher frame rates

This can also probably work with other UE3 games that have shadow performance issues.

I found the ultimate fix without having to kill the visuals.
bEnableVSMShadows=True
This game me 50% more performance than simply having it turned to "False".
