Introduction
THIS GUIDE IS OUTDATED!!!

Money. Money is important in this game. Getting to full equipment isn't cheap at all. You might be thinking, "Where the **** do I get so much money from?!" It's all a matter of knowing how to...
Welcome to my guide. Here, you will learn how to make cash like Activision and Blizzard.
Seriously.
Don't forget to rate and favorite if it helped you!
Alternate Accounts
With alts, you can make more profit out of almost every way provided in this guide. However, there is one important thing you have to consider:
Mist Energy tanks may be shared under certain circumstances. Check this wiki[wiki.spiralknights.com] page to find out more.
Now that you know that, let's start!
Basil Runs
Sometimes, when you browse the Auction House, you most likely see a few recipes. "What's up with the price? I thought a 3* recipe only was 4000 crowns, not 11000? AND THAT'S A BID?" So what's wrong with that?
There are two types of recipes. Recipes that can be bought in the Hall of Heroes, and ones that can only be bought at Basil, who can be found in Clockwork Terminals at depths 4, 13 and 23. Consider that recipes can only bought from Basil if you joined 2 depths before the Terminal. This is one reason why the price can be so high. The other reason is that it's a pain to get the recipe you want as it randoms every time you visit the Clockwork Terminal again. This opens up a good opportunity to earn some cash.
To start a Basil run, simply go to the Arcade and start a Tier 2 run, or open up the Party Finder and look for a party at depth 9-11. Depth 11 is the best you'll want to join. Fight your way through the Clockwork Terminal and go to Basil. You'll find a selection of 2*, 3* and 4* recipes. Most profit can be made from 3* recipes, so we'll go with that. All Basil recipes are for equipment that can only be acquired by trading in Boss Tokens. This list will show you all 3* boss recipes:
  • Kilowatt Pulsar
  • Heavy Pulsar
  • Toxic Catalyzer
  • Industrial Catalyzer
  • Lightning Capacitor
  • Twisted Snarble Barb
  • Twisted Targe
  • Twisted Spine Cone
Found one or more of those recipes in a Clockwork Terminal? Buy them! When you return to Haven, check out the Auction House and sell them.

Alts:

You can bring alts to your Basil runs. This can get you twice, three or four times the recipes you found! Don't forget to bring enough money.
Boss Runs
As you may have noticed, a lot of people grind the Royal Jelly Palace (or Jelly King if you suck). This isn't the only boss to get cash from, in fact, pretty much every boss gives you good money (excluding tokens):
  • Tier 1: Wild Gloaming Wildwoods (Snarbolax, 3-2: Shadow of the Beast): Not really recommended unless you're Tier 1 or early Tier 2. ~1600 crowns made, 30 energy cost for full run.
  • Tier 2: Royal Jelly Palace (Royal Jelly, 5-2: The Sovereign Slime): Easy and quick, this boss is the second most grinded one in the game. ~2400 crowns made, 30 energy cost for full run.
  • Tier 2: Ironclaw Munitions Factory (Roarmulus Twins, 6-2: Built to Destroy!): A more difficult area than the RJP with an annoying boss. Not a lot of people grind this, but this actually gives you way more money than that if you know how. ~2200 crowns made, 30 energy cost for full run.
  • Tier 3: Firestorm Citadel (Lord Vanaduke, 9-3: King of Ashes): The most grinded boss in the game, but also difficult for someone who hasn't grinded this a lot yet. ~8000 crowns made, 50 energy cost for full run.
Boss runs can be started by getting to them in the Arcade (check the gate maps!) or starting the mission for them.

Alts:

You can bring your alts to Boss Runs to get more crowns and tokens.

"Excluding tokens"? Wait, what? Tokens don't count as money, do they?
Boss Tokens
When you kill a boss, you get tokens. You get 3 tokens (or 4 if you're lucky), however, this number will be lower if you joined in the middle of the run (or too late in the case of FSC). These are the tokens you gain from the bosses:
  • Snarbolax: Frumious Fang
  • Royal Jelly: Jelly Gem
  • Roarmulus Twins: Bark Module
  • Lord Vanaduke: Almirian Seal
When you pay Brinks a visit, you can trade in your tokens for equipment or materials. So let's make money out of that!

Equipment Vendoring

This is the only way you can make money with Almirian Seals, but it also works for the other tokens. Trade in your tokens for some equipment and go to one of the many vendors. As traded in equipment is bound when you receive it, you can't put it on the Auction House, so vendors are the only way to go. You get 750 crowns for 2* equipment, 3500 for 3* and 30000 for 5*.

Boss Materials

Snarbostuffing, Jelly Glue, Schemer Scrap and Dark Ember are the materials you can trade in. They are not bound when received, which means that you can sell them on the Auction House for quite a lot of money.

Equipment Unbinding and Crafting

This method requires you to spend some money, but at the end, you get the most profit out of it. For this, our example will be the Pulsar, acquired by trading in Bark Modules. Follow these simple steps:
  • Go to Brinks and trade in 15 Bark Modules for a Pulsar gun
  • Go to Vise and have it unbound for 100 energy (use your full Mist Energy!), at this point DO NOT equip it ever again
  • Get a Kilowatt Pulsar recipe if you haven't got one yet and learn it
  • Craft a Kilowatt Pulsar with 100 Crystal Energy and 100 Mist Energy (you can use CE instead of ME but you will make less profit)
  • Sell on AH for about 50k crowns, look out for current Buyout prices
The same can be done with other boss token equipment, but this will get you the most.

Other Tokens

Now these aren't boss tokens but it's not worth it creating a new section for those.
You get Primal Sparks, Grim Sparks and Forge Sparks from Treasure Boxes while playing the game. These can be traded in for goods, too. If you have 100 of one of them, go to Brinks and trade them in for any 100 token trinket. Then, go to a vendor and sell it for 10k crowns. You can trade in the tokens for materials too, but you have to know which ones are worth are lot and which ones are not. Materials can't be bound, so you'll be able to sell them on the Auction House.

Alts:

If you bring your alts to bosses a lot, they'll get tokens too, of course. Everything here can be done with your alts as well.
Mist Crafting
Mist crafting is when you use your mist to craft equipment (duh). Don't let your Mist Energy go to waste, as it can get you quite some money while barely doing anything.
This method is excellent for 3* equipment and the previous section already showed you how to do this. The difference here is that you can do it with any equipment, but your profit will be lower if you do it with non-boss equipment.
You could also do this with 2* equipment, but there isn't really a point unless you're trying to get some good UVs.

Alts:

This can be done with your alts as well, as long as you provide enough money and materials.
Merchanting
This method is recommended only to the people who know the prices of all the things.
If you ever see something on the Auction House which is at a much lower price than it should be, buy it immediately, and resell it... or keep it.
How much money you make with this depends on your luck, you could gain a whole lot or nothing in one hour.

Alts:

They don't really profit from this, but you could probably use them to browse several sections of the Auction House at the same time.
Epilogue
And that's how to make money fast. Using everything you learned, 5* gear will no longer seem to be an impossible goal.

Hey, If anyone has CE to unbind gear I have a lot of great items to give away. I wont be playing this game anymore and I doubt they will ever do an update so feel free to DM me for loot. I have a Black Kat Hood with Var rolls on it + much more.

Good guide, but needs to be updated to fit the new state of the game. I think a lot of newbies (especially Knight Elites farming elite orbs for the hall of heroes. I was stuck in that stage for a long time) could benefit from knowing good strategies to consistently find and farm treasure boxes and crowns.

This brings back memories. But it should be updated, or it can stay for the nogalga. (Sorry for the bad english).

btw I forgot, the items will be in your steam inventory and there will be a "unpack item" button which you have to click and then next time you get ingame, they will be mailed to you. Then you can sell them on the auction house for a ton of money. All you need is some spare change in your steam wallet to buy them
󠀡󠀡 27 May, 2018 @ 8:16am
If you have some spare change left in your steam wallet, you can purchase the below items from the community market:
Gold Wolf Helm
Iron Wolf Helm
Gold Wolf Armor
Iron Wolf Armor
After purchase, the items will be mailed to you next time you play the game. You can only recieve these items once and more than one will not be mailed to you ingame.

Here's another way: farm the Golden Slime Casino when it comes. However, this is a risk, as you could either get your money back, lose money, or make a profit. I went from 3k crowns to 10k in about twenty minutes:steamhappy:

Remember when 2,000cr Tier 2 Equipment was a thing?
Remember when 10 floors a day was a thing?
Remember when the aH was flooded?
