Bigs' Hints & Tips
This section will cover, in bullet point style, various hints and tips about various things in the game Foxhole.

  • Fully automatic firing weapons, such as the HMG and SMG, can suppress a defensive structure, such as a foxhole, from returning fire. The longer you fire in fully automatic at the structure, the faster, and longer, the suppression effect takes effect. At its maximum effectiveness, a friendly soldier may approach the foxhole without worry of death. This is visually shown by how much "smoke" is generating from the enemy structure. The more "Smoke" it emmits, the more it is suppressed.

  • When actively using binoculars, you can still talk to friendly soldiers (and enemies) that are immediately around you. However, you will not be able to hear them talking to you so it is important to stop using the binoculars now and then when coordinating with others.

  • When actively using binoculars are far ranges, you can see, and also hear, enemy footsteps, voice chat, building sounds, gun fire, etc. Essentially allowing you to listen in on what they are doing. At night time, you might not be able to see the enemy, but you can still hear them.

  • Hidding in bushes or other dense cover keeps enemies from seeing you, but you cannot see outside of the bushes or dense cover you are in. This can lead to friendly fire and other accidents if not communicated with others.

  • When in the commander seat of a tank (you can enter it from approaching the tank from the rear), you will be exposed on top of the tank. Here you can only use your 2ndary items, such as your pistol and binoculars. The pistol is great for fending off enemies that approach your tank but enemies can, and will, target you. You can counter this by pressing the alternative weapon button, default "E" and you will enter the tank and close the hatch keeping you safe. When inside the tank, you cannot use any items and your view will be limited. When you wish to come out again, you can press "E" again, to open the hatch and stand up.

  • You can run over and destroy sandbags with any vehicle if you have high enough speed.

  • Watchtowers do not require a tunnel network to be active. They will always spot enemies regardless of their location on the map.

  • As a Tank, or Half track Driver, it is very important to LOCK your tank before going into battle. If enemies get to close to your tank, and it is unlocked, they can access your vehicle inventory and take your fuel and ammo out of it.

  • It is always wise to take at least 35 bmats with you in a Half Track or Tank for repairs. Either vehicle will start working again when it reaches 35% health, and if the vehicle is destroyed, it isn't enough bmats for the enemy to build foxholes with.

It is also advised that the driver and the gunner of any vehicle take 30 fuel in their backpack to refuel the vehicle on longer trips.

  • If you are the driver of a Half track of Tank. You must never abandon your vehicle, even if it takes heavy damage. It is better to force the enemy to destroy the vehicle than fall into their hands. Likewise, if you see a friendly crew bail out of their Tank or Half track, it is your duty to do your best to destroy it.

  • If you are planning to crew a vehicle, of any kind, it is advised that you take gas masks. Gas can still kill occupants of a vehicle!

  • Bazookas are fun, and very effective against structures and vehicles. However aiming them is something of a trick. The shell flies in a arc pattern starting at the end of the bazooka. When aiming, make sure you aim at the "highest" point of your target. This will ensure that the shell lands at "crouching" height on the target. This is easier on tall targets such as vehicles, pillboxes, gun turrest, and larger structures. On foxholes and MG nests though, it can be annoyingly difficult to hit. When faced against a foxhole or MG nest, its best to get close with the bazooka (which is dangerous) or to find a alternative way to destroy them.

Hello and thank you for the guide, I'm sure it will help me out :)
However I have a minor problem, to be precise: It can get very tedious watching videos and a small summary of each video or some more text would be much more helpful at times, because we can choose our own speed.
You'll still get a rate up, because the guide was very helpful, but watching 20*3 minute videos instead of speedreading through something isn't my cup of tea.
