Some Tips and Help
By Kvaz
There are some really good guides out there for this game, and I’ll recommend them right off the bat:
Walkthrough
Documents
Honestly they do a great job, and they both cover the chess puzzle.
Yet I feel this game needs a little more help written out there in the world, so here are the tips and help I would’ve liked within easy reach when playing this game.

The Eye, Tial Udah
This puzzle really got me, goodness gracious I didn’t know what to do. When you see The Eye, and your journal says it’s some kind of altar, walk back out of the room. When you’re back next to the two fallen pillars look down at the ground, and while still looking at the ground, walk back into The Eye so you bump into it (don’t run). Now look up. Just like that, and wait a minute. It takes a little bit for the game to take you to the next part.
Also, Tial Udah took me forever to pronounce correctly. Don’t be worried if Veritas gets disappointed with you. Just stay calm and keep trying. Getting upset just makes it harder for the microphone to pick up the correct command. Keep in mind this is the only spell you can cast while you have another spell active.
Saevar
Alright, this fun game has turned terrifying. For the first Saevar you run into my little trick is to run into the cage and jump on top of the Tial Udah sigil. When you’re on that little pillar the Saevar won’t attack you. Then you can just activate the Tial Udah, wait a few seconds, detain the Saevar (I suggest Obee Kehnu) run out of the room, and detain the Saevar until the door closes on him. Hah! Take that!
Seriously, that pillar was a life saver for me. It lets you catch your breath, safely practice dealing with the Saevar, and become more calm and relaxed around these horrors.
Last note with these guys, Ekto Lumeh is probably underappreciated for dealing with these guys. Especially when you’re fighting multiple Saevars. Just blind the closest one charging you. It’s not perfect, but I hope this helps (as Ibohn Ekto doesn’t really help at all).
Hall of Pain
This labyrinth has a very accurate name. You’ll take constant damage while running around like a chicken with your head cut off. So there’s only so much I can do to try and help you here.
Pools: These are your friends, stand in them whenever you can. Yeggah Mideh your health back up. You can even heal yourself back up in one of these pools with a Saevar trying to kill you. I can’t imagine that’s pleasant for your character, but he didn’t get a say in this.
Spheres: The entrance to one of the puzzles is on the left hand wall from the entrance blocked with an Atul Aghni sigil. Other than that just try to stay on the outermost wall. Also, the number correlating to the arm refers to how many times the arm has ‘clicked’ down. (I swear I thought it was the order in which you fill them to the brim for the longest time – but it’s not.)
Mostly: Good luck.
Teleporting Sign
Okay, this is a fun room. Yet whatever you don’t do what I did (on two different runs – which means yes, I did look up a walk through and then forget that advice on my other run through). Tempted though you might, don’t fling the movable pillar around and freeze it so you can jump to all corners of the room. Instead stand by one of the places the teleporting sign hides and wave the movable pillar around to the other locations until the sign pops up near you and you can read it. Wow, it’s so easy.
Winged Glory
This is a really annoying boss. First things first, walk out so you’re on the edge of the platform and Atul Aghni down in the water between you and the floating platform. When the boss goes down there to heal, set off this fire rune and kill the boss. Then you just have to get your shield up, try to hit the constantly moving target, and heal up in the convenient pool of water on the ledge you’re on.
“Red Path” Jump of Faith
You’ve mastered a lot of spells. You’re confident and going to kick this puzzle’s butt. From the main area you can go right or left, going right will lead you to vertically moving pillars. Teleport all the way down, and walk through a portal. This giant room with lava shouldn’t intimidate you. After all, you’ve got my advice (said in a much too egotistical way). Get up to the first platform via a teleport and look down at the next platform area you can teleport to. Just look down on it. Don’t go there. Activate the Tial Udah sigil so that the door across the room you need to go to opens. Now look to your left at the wall. Teleport up this wall and teleport all the way across to the open door. This isn’t how the game wanted you to do this, but trust me, the other way requires you teleport in midair with a time limit and just isn’t worth it. When you’re next to the door all you have to do now is fall off and teleport down. You’ve made it. If you didn’t, and fell into the lava, don’t worry. Before you teleported up to the first platform you can continue along the path into a dead end corner with a pool of water to heal back up in.
“Red Path” Fight
Just a small note on this fight. Before you defeat the two Saevars make sure you’re by the pillars across from the door out. That way when the next batch of enemies spawn the Shar-Seth will be looking away from you (so he’ll be non-aggressive) and you’ll be able to deal with the Saevar before having to deal with the Shar-Seth. You can’t back shot the Shar-Seth though, it’s immune to your attacks sadly.
Shar-Seth
This is supposedly one of the toughest monsters in the game. You have to listen carefully to its spell and act accordingly within a very small time limit. Or… you could try my cheater way – I mean totally legit way of killing a Shar-Seth. All you do in this strategy is get your shield up while the enemy is casting. That’s it. Now the Shar-Seth can’t hurt you. Just wait until you volley enough of its projectiles back at it to kill it. When the Shar-Seth makes thorns (and you’ve got the shield up), I’ve noticed that the thorns glitch out a little bit, but it hasn’t messed with my game. So just keep a heads up with that in case you have to restart your game.
Final Boss
I highly recommend watching a YouTube of this fight, just to better assure yourself of what you need to do and tell the difference between an illusion and the real boss.
Achievements
Most of the achievements in the game are pretty straight forward and not complicated. There are however a few exceptions I’ll try to help with.
Checkmate
Again, there are some good explanations of this achievement out there so just look to their guides. If for some reason you have everything correctly set up and it’s not working just try switching which pillar goes where.
Tomb raider
Mostly I want to warn you that this refers to having all of the documents in a single game. Not collecting the documents piecemeal over separate save files.
Shar-Seth on the rocks
Find the document “Duel with a nightmare.” On that statue there are two little supported disk looking things (fonts). Just freeze them both with Ibohn Ekto to get this achievement.
Diligent pyromaniac
Remember what the fonts looked like from Shar-Seth on the rocks? There are more of these fonts around which you need to set on fire with Aghni Munio. Remember the Shar-Seth statue from Shar-Seth on the rocks? Look to your left. Shortly ahead of you there are some fonts. They’re along the walls between the Shar-Seth statue and the circular tunnel leading elsewhere. Across from the Shar-Seth statue with the document “Duel with a nightmare” is the Planetarium, and if you keep going another Shar-Seth statue. This statue has two fonts, and to the right are more fonts you need to set on fire. These fonts are between the Shar-Seth statue and the circular tunnel leading elsewhere. Whew, that was a lot of explaining for a measly achievement!
Global meltdown
This is an easy achievement if you know what on Earth (or is it Zenith?) to do. On the second “Blue Path” past the spinning fan by the Planetarium you’ll probably be struck by a very odd ice object floating on your right. It’s indestructible and annoying and there’s gotta be something more to this stupid thing. Pick it up and bring it with you down the stairs, as there is an achievement hidden within it. When you reach the setup of a constellation beyond the doors continuing on there should be a circle indent on your left. Drop the ice block in that circle and set it on fire with Aghni Munio. Congratulations! You’ve probably got all of the achievements now!
Spells
No one asked me how I pronounce the spells, but it might help you out.
Lumeh Tial: loom-A te-al
Ekto Lumeh: ecto loom-A
Tial Udah: te-al oo-dah (This took me forever to figure out, I still don’t know why.)
Obee Kehnu: O-Bee Kee-new/O-Bee Khe-new/O-Bee Ken-new/WHY ISN’T THIS WORKING?!?! (Seriously though, I’m pretty sure it works best as O-Bee Khen-new, with a pretty quiet “h”.)
Ekto Namet: ecto nah-may (Yes I drop the “t,” just like how the French drop the last letter of their words.)
Namet Ekto: nah-may ecto (Yes I drop the “t,” just like how the French drop the last letter of their words.)
Opun Obee: ope-oon O-Bee
Yeggah Mideh: yeggah me-dah
Atul Aghni: a-tool acne (I say this pretty excitedly and quickly as I’m getting ready to kill a stupid Saevar, it still picks up the spell though.)
Udah Notem: oo-dah note-em (I kinda growl this one, as I’m super happy about getting rid of a Saevar. Growling still works well for casting this spell.)
Namet Atul: nah-may a-tool (Yes I drop the “t,” just like how the French drop the last letter of their words.)
Notem Atul Opun: note-em a-tool ope-oon (Except half the time I don’t even know what I’m saying. This spell is pretty good at being cast after just “Notem” with some other words tacked on. I’ll also warn you to be careful with this spell, as you can’t uncast it.)
Munio Namet: Moon-I-O nah-may (Yes I drop the “t,” just like how the French drop the last letter of their words.)
Atul Ekto: a-tool ecto
Aghni Munio: acne Moon-I-O
Ibohn Ekto: E-bon ecto
