It took a little commitment and open-mindedness on my part, but this game won me over.

Upon launching this title, I was met with green glitch artifacts. With the help of the awesome Steam community, I was taught to launch the game on DirectX 11 by adding "-d3d11" to the game's launch options.

With that barrier conquered, I proceeded to a cryptic puzzle that I still don't understand...

Drops in frame rate were constant. A smooth 60 FPS drops to a jittery 10 almost every time I move the mouse. I never quite found a solution for this...

I kept on keeping on. I wanted to experience the quest-room resolution.
Ultimately, I wasn't terribly disappointed.

The atmosphere is tense and dark, and the use of lighting helps push the experience forward. The visuals add a lot to the experience. Overall, even taking the flaws into account, I have to say that I generally enjoyed the experience.

This is a great little experience for a more-than-fair price. It's available as part of the Emeka_Games bundle, and it sits perfectly with the other Emeka releases.

Dark, tense atmosphere abounds in this fun Holiday horror game. The visuals are beautiful. The Unreal engine really makes the lights and fireworks a lovely part of the experience!

My only complaint would be that I occasionally experienced a drop in frame rate while playing.

This is a tasty indie-horror gem!

Pros: The visuals are stunning, creating a rich and tense atmosphere. The use of lighting is excellent, and the environments are super-realistic.

Cons: The English translation falters at times, and I found sections where mouse right click prompted "Torch Oil," a mechanic that never sees use in play. I also soft-locked when exiting the security cabin window, necessitating a reload.

All in all, for the price, this was a great experience and I look forward to more releases from this developer!

This game is brilliant! A hyper-realistic setting engrosses the player into a believable atmosphere of everyday life, made slightly unsettling by easy-to-miss supernatural anomalies. Some of these anomalies will bring a chuckle, and some will make your skin crawl!

This is a great game at a great price. If you enjoy immersive graphics and have a keen eye, this is a gem well worth your time and money!

Do you like throwback shooters? Do you like horror games? Are you looking for a tasty blend of Quake-style gameplay with survival horror atmosphere?

Look elsewhere.

Movement is slow and choppy. You'll get stuck on geometry in the middle of a firefight. Enemy weaknesses are cryptic. Enemies clip into walls, getting stuck and making for difficult progression. Weapon feel and feedback is wrong somehow - the shotgun feels like a pop gun, and rockets have impressive explosions but little splash damage.

I got it on sale, and am willing to dive into the survival mode to chase a few achievements, but had I paid full price for this game I would be an EXTREMELY dissatisfied customer.

It's Quake II. That's really all you need to know!

A free to play game with an interesting and unsettling story, high replay value, and a great visual atmosphere!

This game is everything I need this spooky season! Fantastic visuals, horrifyingly tense atmosphere, excellent sound design, and replayability through the roof!
